Teenage Prayers and Holler, Wild Rose moved from Sound Fix to 186 Bedford (Spike HIll) at 7pm. Fix Tape Exchange (A Monthly Mix Tape Party) will be held in the record store Sunday @ 8pm.
The Jens Lekman show totally snuck up on me. If I realized it was tonight, I probably would have been thinking about it all week and would have posted a reminder before this. I saw him once at SXSW in March (at the Secretly Canadian showcase @ The Mohawk) (pictured above) and it was the usual goodness.
At one point, Tyvek was supposed to play the Silent Barn show tonight too, but that was a mistake. Their friends Psychedelic Horseshit are still playing the show too. I saw a few songs of PS at a VICE party at SXSW and didn't love it. I never saw Tyvek, but I wish I did.
Get tickets for the Atlas Sound show.

Janeane Garofalo is headlining her second night tonight at COMIX. It's being billed as her last stand-up date for awhile since she's going into production on "24".
But the real news is her opening act. For some reason it hasn't been talked about but her opening act is her old "Wet Hot American Summer" companion MICHAEL SHOWALTER. Showalter will do 20 minutes of material before her set. The earlier show is all booked up but there are still tickets available for 10:45.

". For some reason it hasn't been talked about"
Maybe because her "old companion" does 20 minutes of material at least once a week in this city. That could be the reason.
