thanks!

what time do you think the show will start then?

^^^ i am curious as to why people on here speak out of their ass and spout bullshit. There is an opener for The Verve. It is not a band but it is in fact a DJ set. That is the opener. That starts at 8. The Verve will go on at 9

i like how BV alludes to Estelle (and special guests). If ya think Kanye is gonna be there you are in for a dissapointment. Maybe John Legend againfor one song but thats about it.

"a dj set is an opener? lol

What are you laughing at jackass? If you are trying to say its a lame opener then yeah i agree. But if you are trying to dispute that a Dj set is considered an opener then im sure a lot of people on here(djs in fact) would want to kick the fucking shit out of you.

wow. thanks for setting me straight, 2:49. I will not let the door hit me on the ass on the way out. bye.

when discussing dj's, i prefer "warm-up" to "opener"...just seems more accurate
and what constitutes a dj "set"?? most times when a dj opens/warms for a band they just play on and on until the band is ready to go

wow anon 2:49 is one angry guy...welcome to the bv comments!

the DJ is Wayne Griggs... he has opened nearly every verve show over the last 15 years, as well as for a number of other acts... whatever

on a much less-pissy topic, is there ANYTHING left from Northsix at the MHOW? I've been there once since it opened and the wood floor in the main space is a bit familiar. Maybe I'm wrong.
But, man, how I miss those fish and the private coke-closets passing as bathrooms.

wow two words can really start a fight on BV...
me calling bowery box office this afternoon:
Me: Hi what time are the verve on tonight?
Bowery: 8p
Me: So no opener?
Bowery: Nope, no opener
Me: OK thanks.
=Me talking out of my ass and spouting bullshit. Eat shit 2:22.

Anyone who thinks a DJ set is an opener is a moron. May God be with you, because no one else is....

So did anyone attend the verve show last night at the MSG Theater? If so, how was it? Was there actually an opener (band, dj, whatever)? Ultimately, what time did the band hit the stage?
Thanks!

Daft Punk was the surprise opener.
