« Special Disco Version is a new DFA party @ 100 Lafayette | Local H touring, LUNA LOUNGE still closed, NYC show moved »

It looks like they're shelving the name "Santa's Party House" for the much classier "100 Lafayette" (look at the logo!). This new NYC venue that is partially owned by Andrew WK is officially opening soon with a wide range of events including rock shows and dance parties. Supposedly there will even be bottle service (yuck).

Went to the dance party their Saturday, and I didn't see bottle service at all. Drinks were decent (beers were $4 or $6 and got a Stoli orange for $8) and crowd was fun and danced a lot.
Andrew WK rules my life. didn't see him on Sat there, tho. Ready to party hard this summer.

I think that whole GOLD LOGO thing was just to throw people off. I heard the name is Santos Party House. This place sounds amazing and it seems like no one knows what to think. I hope it's bridge and tunnel crossed with crust punk crossed with hip hop crossed with Wall street crossed with ME and YOU TOO.

PARTAY DOWN! I was at the private party they had there on May 10th and it was off the hook. There were all kinds of different people there. I can honestly say, it wasn't one kind of person or another. So, those looking for a really great place to hang out, this is it. No attitudes were present.

Did they have bottle service? I don't think that's their style. I heard the place is just like a dream come true. When can the rest of us people go?
Posted by Glenn | May 13, 2008 5:48 PM
No, they don't do bottle service. It's just a total dance and hang-out kind of place from what I've been told. I'm there on Friday for sure!

Hopefully just a fluke but Saturday night had TERRIBLE music. Spotted a few press people, but the music was just terrible.
Posted by Fluke | May 19, 2008 2:39 PM
So, what do you mean by "TERRIBLE music"???
It would be better (for everyone) if you were more specific in your statement.
Do you not like the genre of music being played?
Would you rather it be only this (__________) kind of music instead?
How can we take you seriously if you sound like a child?

Been there a bunch now and IMHO the music was always awesome. The place is ridiculously good. I'm a Santos believer. I believe in Santos cause.

I just discovered Santos... It's not santAs, but in their logo the o looks like an "a" so i figgered i would fit right in since i look like santa http://blog.Destination-Fun.com )
Anyhoo, i have been there three times so far, and Saturday night danced with the two most beautiful women i have ever seen. These girls were not 10's they were 15's.
Those of you that know me are aware i have been hanging out in the top vegas clubs for 5 yrs, and this place is right up there with the best of them.
Clean, understated, yet pervasive sound, the amps barely working. State of the art speakers, make you want to dance. The light show is tasteful, with lots of video projection and a huge Mirror ball. plenty more to be done in the light show department.
Music selection varies by night, but is always danceable even if a bit unfamiliar.
As far as bottle service goes, hey, there is no requirement that you buy a table, and the ppl that can afford it bring some class (and hotties)with rents what they are, the VIP service is helping to keep the admission prices reasonable.
And, while you are waiting for the club to open, walk east three blocks (under the tombs bridge)and visit THE WHISKEY TAVERN, they have a live DJ every night. Hot times and loose women!
Hope ill see you there!
