was at show, why did she change guitars every song? would they get out of tune? confused.

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 10:42 AM

probably because they're tuned differently.

There were a LOT of douchebags in the crowd. (Douchebags = drunk college boys. At least they were drunk college boys with decent taste in indie music. But still...) And they were very vocal.

"At least they were drunk college boys with decent taste in indie music."

I thought you said you were at the Feist show.

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 11:13 AM

Ha. That's why I said "decent taste" instead of something like, "spectacular taste." (Hey, a friend took me.)

What'd she play before "My Moon, My Man"?

Posted by Tito | May 1, 2008 11:28 AM

my sun, my lady

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 11:43 AM

i didn't see the lesbians. totally missed out on hot makeouts. fail.

Posted by des | May 1, 2008 11:44 AM

not hot at all.

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 11:45 AM

she can do no wrong.

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 11:54 AM

quite a disappointing show. her voice is not suited to the venue, made worse by constant chattering coming from loud bores at the rear of the floor.

poop

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 12:38 PM

not for nothing
that talking shit was so fucking annoying.
the visuals were great, and when you could hear the songs, they were great as well.
it was so strange to see whole groups of people straight talking, like whole discussions about shit that had nothing to do with music.
so lame

her show at hipster pool in willie b was epic in comparison!!

oh wells

Posted by fuckwebsterhall | May 1, 2008 12:43 PM

those people talking were hipsters, not college boys. maybe hipsters in college.

nice dress did you borrow it from crystal gale?

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 1:08 PM

was Ed Droste there?

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 1:18 PM

i love her.

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 1:58 PM

ahahahhahahahaha crystal gale. for real, though, the trailer trash chic look they had going on was fun.

Posted by des | May 1, 2008 2:05 PM

i'd hit it.

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 2:45 PM

cat power is her retarded step-sister.

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 2:45 PM

245 - you do, would and will forever and ever hit your own hand because you are a tool.

i was up front with a few friends and couldn't wait for the show to end. she should not be playing a venue like hammerstein. it's not that it's too big -- it's that it's too tall for her more low-fi sound.

also, a giant fuck you to the pregnant bitch that pushed into me and then asked me to move forward because she was pregnant. newsflash, you cunt -- don't come to the front of the floor if you're into your third fucking trimester. if that ever happens again, expcet a punched fetus.

can someone post the setlist for wed. night?

Posted by Anonymous | May 1, 2008 7:58 PM

This is a rough guess as to the setlist:

"Help Is On It's Way" or whatever that song is called (that's the refrain)
"When I Was a Young Girl"
? (don't know)
"My Moon My Man"
"The Park"
"The Limit To Your Love"
"I Feel It All"
"Honey Honey"
"Fucked-Up Kid" (Kevin Drew 'Spirit If...' cover)
"Open Window" (Sarah Harmer cover)
"1234"
"Past In Present"
"Gatekeeper"
"Brandy Alexander"
(her whole first name thing)
"So Sorry"
"Sealion"
(encore break)
"The Water"
? (don't know)
"Let It Die"

From what I've heard, floor always sounds bad at Hammerstein. I sat in the first row of Mezzanine-1 and the sound was freaking awesome. I could distinctly hear all that was going on. Not too much chatting up my way, but I did hear some chatting coming from the floor - lame.
