Speaking of Tiny Masters of Today shows...

June 5: Lightspeed Champion and Tiny Masters of Today Doing One for the Kids (and the unemployed)!

What is Chancellor's day? It is an inexplicable school holiday on June 5 that only kids in New York get. To celebrate this year, Tiny Masters of Today are throwing a special afternoon party at Union Hall in Brooklyn.

Joining us for this first annual throwdown will be our friends from
England: Lightspeed Champion!!! Holy Cow! It is going to be awesome, it starts at 4 and ends at 6 so don't be late! Hey, there might even be special guests, you never know!

Bell is playing Union Hall later that night. Lightspeed Champion is playing Maxwell's later that night.

That's because kids in other places finish the school year in May.

I'll say it, I can't stand these kids! I thought I saw them walking down the street the other day and I wanted to push them into a puddle and take their lunch money!

Even if you don't like their music, they're very nice kids. No need for comments like that...

Disturbing backstage parenting going on here, imho.

Did Dad do the press release? Geez, you people sure stay lame. Chancellor's Day? Are you kidding? Up til recently it was Brooklyn/Queens day. Before that, it was Brooklyn Day. Ask your mom...oh right, mom's in Utah.

I thought you people were from Brooklyn, MAN!!! Isn't that what you write on your shitty MySpace profile?

Lightspeed Champion is more than one person and they're from England?

Dev usually has some musicians with him.

Well, yeah, but I considered him a solo artist with a stage name, like Chan Marshall = Cat Power.

From Wikipedia: "Lightspeed Champion is the name of the new musical venture by ex-Test Icicle Devonte Hynes, currently signed to Domino Records. Containing musical elements from a variety of genres, Lightspeed Champion is a radically different sound to Hynes' previous band. The band's name comes from a series of comic strips Hynes did as a teenager in his school maths books. Hynes was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Essex, England."

It seems fair to call them a band, even if it is mainly one guy. It also seems fair to say they are from England. Pretty whiny stuff.

Not whiny, just uninformed. I should have said "thought" instead of "considered."

Actually, the whiny part wasnt directed at you. Yours was a reasonable comment and not even necessarily wrong. The whole bitch about the name of the day is really whiny though.
