uh, why is ticketmaster only showing the 9/23 date? did 9/22 get cancelled?
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 9:23 AM
who cares? are you going to both shows?
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 9:25 AM
that's why I included separate links for "Monday" and "Tuesday" - because they are listed differently and it's confusing.

"who cares? are you going to both shows?"
This one wins stupidest comment award.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 9:29 AM
shit. 52 dollars? i'm better off doing ATP
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 9:31 AM
as it should have simply said, "who cares?" 'cause really, who does? rehash rehash rehash. old band = old news. b-o-r-i-n-g.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 9:58 AM
Got mine too. $187.40 for three tickets...fuck, I'm rich! It feels good to be fucking loaded! What does it feel like for you, poors?
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 9:59 AM
I can't bring myself to put down the cost after fees. I hope this doesn't sell out for a couple of days...
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:00 AM
I'm down for Monday!! BTW Monday nights show is under the heading:
"Live Nation and All Tomorrows Parties Present: My Bloody Valentine"
Posted by Joe | May 9, 2008 10:00 AM
4 tix purchased for both shows. Yay!
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:01 AM
OMFG 9:35, Anonymous runs this blog?!?! That makes so much sense.
Anyone who doesn't go to both nights is a Streisand.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:02 AM
im not going to either night, what does that make me?
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:04 AM

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:05 AM
Grabbed a ticket for the Tuesday show!
Posted by Austin | May 9, 2008 10:06 AM
a poor streisand.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:06 AM
"OMFG 9:35, Anonymous runs this blog?!?! That makes so much sense."
9:35 was quoting 9:25

>Got mine too. $187.40 for three tickets...fuck, I'm rich! It feels good to be fucking loaded! What does it feel like for you, poors?
hey, fuckface. if you're going to be a smartass, at least learn how to be grammatically correct. there's no comma before your spectacular word choice of "poors". i'll save the commentary on your, um, brilliant verbiage choice for others.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:16 AM
^^a Streisand?
interesting. so......given all the real estate given to neil fucking diamond over the last couple days, i should say many of us will be, hmmm, happy? you said that about us? really, we don't care, but it's interesting you should bring up her name. after all, one can't have neil d. without having ms. streisand too. how's your foot taste now that you've got it clearly in your mouth? do us all a favor, go to the show and don't ever come back.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:22 AM
Only 3 for one show?
lol what a poor
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:31 AM
@9:31
Kevin Sheilds has chunks of guys like you in his stool.
Posted by adam | May 9, 2008 10:38 AM
apologies @9:31, that was meant for @9:32
Posted by adam | May 9, 2008 10:42 AM
They are selling tickets to the mezzanine as well? You think the floor has horrible sound, wait until you get upstairs. Very poor sightlines unless you are right by the edge. I have seen shows from up there (when it doubles as an extra VIP area) and I would be mad if I hate to pay for that spot (I didn't).
One hour in, still not sold out.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:46 AM
the portishead reunion is cool, but this is a band nobody ever thoguht would ever play again. it's pretty amazing, very psyched.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:53 AM
>Kevin Sheilds has chunks of guys like you in his stool.
how do you know this? has done next to nothing in almost twenty years. a few soundtrack gigs and not much else. you'll see. they'll be fat and loud and not much more.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:54 AM
Good point. He's done nothing but highly influnece all of the white-noise distortion bands that are falling out all over the place these days...and a few decent producing ventures.
Fat and loud can still be a good show as witnessed at the Les Savy Fav After The Ball Drops.
Posted by adam | May 9, 2008 11:03 AM
this certainly makes atp look like a bargain.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 11:17 AM
Hey 11:17, not at all, considering you don't have to spend a weekend with a bunch of hipster douchewagons in Monticello!
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 11:30 AM
i'd pay 53 bucks plus fees for fat AND loud. i'm just expecting one or the other.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 11:36 AM
10:46 .. it's probably not sold out because no one knew about the on-sale. i checked brooklynvegan late last night and there was no mention of it. this whole on-sale thing happened quickly, with little advance notice. once people hear about it, tix will be gone quickly.
Posted by Boris | May 9, 2008 11:42 AM
the sunday atp day alone is worth the $250. mbv, mogwai, mercury rev, yo la tengo, and dinosaur jr. it doesnt get better than that (granted though you're on the older side of the scene. cause unfortunately for the youngins, there is no dan deacon, or whatever passes for music these days)
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 11:45 AM
Does Daft Punk go on before or after MBV?
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 11:50 AM
"how do you know this? has done next to nothing in almost twenty years. a few soundtrack gigs and not much else"
He also toured a bit with Primal Scream about 6 or 7 years ago.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 12:00 PM
saw them in 1991 opening for dino jr. pretty sweet show. can't imagine being up for it 100 yrs later though...have fun.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 12:54 PM
I just bought a ticket for the only night ticketmaster was showing - the Monday.
Have to say I'm very psyched to attend this one.
Posted by DaveCromwell | May 9, 2008 2:04 PM
should be great. they all play telecasters these days.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 2:44 PM
is mogwai opening the 9/23 show at roseland?
Posted by trev | May 9, 2008 2:48 PM
got my ticket to the tuesday show motherfuckers!
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 3:26 PM
^^got my ticket to the tuesday show motherfuckers!
yeah......and, um, that's why i won't be seeing the band in 2008. idiots like yourself will be there.
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 3:38 PM
Good point, I've always refused to go to any show that idiots will be attending. Hopefully I will be able to see some live music before I die...
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 4:02 PM
Even if yer seeing Sonic Boom twist knobs for 2 hours with 15 people in a basement, there will still be douche bags and idiots. So whats yer point? Name me one show where everyone was so great you'd invite them to your birthday party?
Posted by nsfw | May 9, 2008 5:41 PM
tickets available @ irving plaza box office?
Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 11:52 PM
lol tix still not sold out for either show. looks like people don't really care nearly as much about mbv as we all thought. slowdive needs to reunite. now that's a reunion i'd pay large sums of money to see.
Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 12:18 AM
Woah. I'm surprised this didn't sell out or slip past me. I wondered why for a minute until I realized that a) roseland bloes me and 2) the current convenience charge is about equal to the ticket price I would have been glad to pay back inaday. Now? Sorta not so much for $60. At least it gave me a reason to listen to isn't anything again.
Posted by mattt | May 13, 2008 1:10 AM
Slowdive really do need to reunite and I really would pay a boatload of money to see them.
Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 1:30 AM
MBV eat Slowdive...I have seen both live...really no comparison...thanks
Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 8:29 AM
Why has there been no mention of any opening bands? Someone mentioned Mogwai, but it seems like they're way too big of a band to be opening for someone, even if it is MBV.
Posted by Anony Mouse | August 28, 2008 3:04 PM
Any opening acts? Start times?
Posted by Anonymous | September 21, 2008 4:29 PM
Opening acts for the 22nd are:
Le Volume Courbe, The Wounded Knees
For the 23rd:
