Naturally I'll say it's the wine.
Mmmm, it does go well with the Jose Gonzalez
Playing a certain type of music can enhance the way wine tastes, research by psychologists suggests.The article says that Jimi Hendrix is good with a Cabernet, Blondie goes with Chardonnay, and that Jose Gonzalez is your man when you're drinking Merlot.

hmmm... jimi's music was once compared to heavy metal falling from the sky - that's cabernet. blondie are way past their prime - chardonnay. merlot must be sleep-inducing, like jose gonzalez.
i think anything in a box would be nicely accompanied by the bravery.

Jimi Hendrix died from red wine poured down his throat by the CIA after passing out from the 13 barbituates they slipped him. He did NOT die of a drug overdose--according to the autopsy, he died of choking on vomit. Most of the wine wasn't even digested, which means he was unconscious when he supposedly drank it, and Jimi had never been a drinker.
So the wine for listening to Hendrix would seem to be a Cabernet.
