i loved chromewaves post about telepathe today. fucking spot on.

"...their aimless set garnered an audience response that would have made a golf clap sound like a football riot."

My band Jack Soo is playing Market Hotel on Saturday and there's already a line around the door.

my band Ron Glass will be at ATP performing our album "Blood on the Badge" in its entirety.

why does Telepathe keep getting on such good bills despite consistantly sucking/being totally lifeless? Clearly, they are a "connected" bunch. There's nothing wrong with that, but it seems like they're totally exploiting their ability to get on such bills even when they are clearly doing the audience a disservice by showing up. Scenesterdom at its worst, I say! There are too many amazing bands in this city who would love to be included on such a bill and would actually PERFORM! There should be no second/third/fourth chances!

That's not too say Telepathe are hopelessly bad--I actually really like "sinister militia"...but maybe they should just stay in the studio for now until they find the motivation to put on a decent performance.

the west coast folks love telepathe and always request them on their shows. it's because they put out a really solid record.

their live show needs a lot of work. they should tour with their own pa, because they're never happy with the venues'.

they're what makes this bill special

Telepathe are officially the worst band I've ever had the pain of seeing in my life (opening for The Kills). I loathed every minute of it.

The Smell scene is taking over the east coast.

Its a shame that Telepathe gets all these gigs and attention when Aa is operating in similar tribal/dub/experimental noise territory, but doing it much much much much better!

i prefer 'The Steve Landesberg Experience''cause they have more mongolic retards and tone-deaf burn victims playing in their band.

i have no idea why there are so many down on telepathe here. they don't overperform live. seen 'em a couple of times live & i'm still a total fan
