I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting a kinda sick of bands "who play an array of instruments [and are] center[ed] around... tales of whimsy." Real GODDAMN SICK! SICK I SAID!!! Fuck.

Hey Anon 3:56pm, try smiling.

yes, i concur. a-n-o-t-h-e-r band of young hipster punks playing/(trying to) every instrument in the orchestra and ultimately not sounding like anything at all. so so so so damn sick of this shit. they'll all look like the shopped at beacon's closet and every moment of every step will be orchestrated for maximum non-improvisation. BORING. go lock yourself in the room and listen to sun ra, zappa, ayler and zorn for a while. then try and play your instruments and then come talk to us.

i've only just listened to them now but i certainly don't think they deserve these negative comments. geez.

"we're from a small town, and now we want to show the big city what we can do!!"

welcome to Brooklyn!, there are 56,435 bands/idiots just like you!

>the asian Broken Social Scene

while i get your point, i would hardly give them that much credit.

Wow! Another uber-quirky collective!! A new one every fucking day.

Make it stop! Please, for the love of god make it STOP! Too much candy coated aural Prozac make me WANT TO KILL!!! I hope this town ass rapes you, breaks your little cupcake dreams into a million sparkly little pieces, slits your throat and floats your headless, diseased, drug bloated corpse down the east river as a warning to similarly inclined purveyors of lobotomized Canadian twee-tarted pop.

The great thing about this show is: You see Takka Takka play first, then get to leave!

Spoiler alert! Dave Godowski is playing!

Hey All!

Just wanted to say thanks for having us in your town for the weekend!
We had a great time, and the shows went as well as could be expected!
Thanks to Takka Takka, Dave, Welcome Wagon, and Stars Like Fleas for playing with us!
And thanks to all at the Brooklyn Tea Party!

Hopefully, we'll see you all again soon!

"as well as could be expected". that doesn't sound so good.

I am fairly certain that almost all the douche bags that commented so rudely didn't go to this show. It was great, and Ohbjou did a good job in a new city. Why can't anyone encourage musicians? Why does the music have to be brand new and groundbreaking? Fuck, just enjoy it and get off the internet if all you can do is be rude.

devin, i think it's because ohbijou aren't a boring television rip off, so they don't understand how to be a boring new york band, and therefore deserve scorn....and i think those new york hipsters are starting to feel a little insecure now that they realize that every scruffy kid in canada has had a beard for years and they aren't making a bold new hipster fashion statement....so they've got to slag off those shifty canadian hipsters....stealing their style before they could even feel it's cool, how could they be so rude, they aren't from new york afterall.
