Hammerstein ............?
I know they don't come around too often but THERE?!
I clicked the link but TM hasn't posted a price yet. The Kansas City show only cost $26.50. Kinda wish I was livng there now.

Grand Ballroom is upstairs from Hammerstein Ballroom - different room.

Also: "All Ages

Oh, my bad. Thanks for the correction. Actually, I saw a Thelonius Monk tribute show there a couple of months ago. Cool place. Acoustics were great for that show though Sigur Ros sounds like jazz.

Posted by b.LOUD | May 6, 2008 2:01 PM

It's NOT Hammerstein but the other part of the Manhattan center called the Grand Ballroom...

http://mcstudios.com/images/ballrooms/GBweb5.jpg

Much classier dude.

Posted by jason | May 6, 2008 2:03 PM

I mean ..... Sigur Ros sounds NOTHING like jazz. Its smaller than the Hammerstein, right? It'll be an interesting show.

Posted by b.LOUD | May 6, 2008 2:03 PM

that is not hammerstein. that is the 1500-2000 person venue upstairs.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:05 PM

This is a welcome change from past Sigur Ros venues!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:16 PM

This is going to be a very hard ticket.

Posted by nyctaper | May 6, 2008 2:18 PM

love the band, but oh! those sweaters!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:27 PM

yes... finger on the refresh button.

Posted by joe | May 6, 2008 2:28 PM

Ack too many good shows that week! MMW, REM, CURE, Sigur Ros...and of course I will be no where near NYC :(

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:29 PM

The mcstudios site says "1,200 for theater-style seating and 550 for seated dinners" - good luck with tickets.

it would be utterly delightful if there was a rotten shark fin soup meal served with the sigur ros show.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:29 PM

"love the band, but oh! those sweaters!"

Thank you, John Varvatos.

"I clicked the link but TM hasn't posted a price yet. The Kansas City show only cost $26.50. Kinda wish I was livng there now."

Dude, it you lived in Kansas City, you would be lucky if you got 1/4 of the good acts that come through the New York City Area. While shows can be a little expensive and not always in the greatest venues, try living in a small/medium size city for a while. If you do, you get used to having to make road trips to see bands of this caliber live. Trust me, I lived in upstate New York and it sucked. Especially with the rising cost of gas.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:37 PM

What is the obsession with these dudes? Guy's speaking in ICELANDIC?!? I mean, you don't even understand what the hell he's saying? Um, HELLO...does anyone else get this?? And, then you got to deal with the cross-eye?!? You hipsters are a looney bunch indeed.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:37 PM

how are they live?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:38 PM

"What is the obsession with these dudes? Guy's speaking in ICELANDIC?!? I mean, you don't even understand what the hell he's saying? Um, HELLO...does anyone else get this?? And, then you got to deal with the cross-eye?!? You hipsters are a looney bunch indeed."

Music doesn't have to be in English for people to enjoy it. It's actually some made-up language (as far as I know) so it really doesn't make sense to anyone. Last time I checked, music was more than just lyrics (hence the word "music"). Sigur Ros create really beautiful soundscapes and actually make music that is easy on the ears AND creative (all you shitty Brooklyn lo-fi bands should note that last phrase: easy on ears & creative). If I'm looney for liking creative, good-sounding, peaceful, beautiful music, than so be it.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:45 PM

>>>>What is the obsession with these dudes? Guy's speaking in ICELANDIC?!? I mean, you don't even understand what the hell he's saying? Um, HELLO...does anyone else get this?? And, then you got to deal with the cross-eye?!? You hipsters are a looney bunch indeed.

seriously dude, just got back to espn.com and shut the hell up, k?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 2:53 PM

im more than ok with someone not liking another band, everyone has different tastes, but seriously man, look up music in the dictionary and then listen to sigur ros and tell me 5 bands that sound the same (and dont cop out with the made up language thing making that hard)

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 3:24 PM

Takk is one of my favorite albums ever. And Glosoli is one of the greatest songs I've ever seen performed live. For anyone that does not like these guys, I invite you to attend this show and then I think you might have a different opinion...

Posted by CN | May 6, 2008 3:35 PM

"im more than ok with someone not liking another band, everyone has different tastes, but seriously man, look up music in the dictionary and then listen to sigur ros and tell me 5 bands that sound the same (and dont cop out with the made up language thing making that hard)"

I'll tell you One band they sound like....Toto!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 3:36 PM

this is NOT a hipster band, never has been - and they've been around a while. A lot longer than hipsters fo sho.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 3:46 PM

hipsters have been around since Kerouac. is sigur ros really that old?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 3:49 PM

"how are they live?"

You might assume they are pretty boring live from listening to their albums but I have to say they are absolutely incredible live.

Posted by Bao | May 6, 2008 3:52 PM

"You might assume they are pretty boring live from listening to their albums but I have to say they are absolutely incredible live."

Why would anyone presume albums with such amazing dynamics would be boring live?

Some songs are in Hopelandic (made up), some in Icelandic.

God is an Astronaut is a band sorta similar to them (but not).

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 3:59 PM

>>this is NOT a hipster band, never has been - and they've been around a while. A lot longer than hipsters fo sho.

What kind of fucking dumbass comment is that? So please enlighten us all...exactly when was the first hipster sighting? Didn't realize it was exact date thing. The beats were often thought of along those lines, but undoubtedly it predates them as well.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 11:25 PM

All of them. Tough luck hipster.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 11:32 PM

Kansas City is a really wonderful place to live. It's a beautiful city with lots of art, culture, friendly people and affordable living. But the person who responded and said that a town like that would have about 1/4 of the shows New York has wasn't even getting started. It's much worse. Half the shows "Kansas City" gets are in Lawrence, Kansas or Columbia, Missouri. You end up driving all over the damn place and just waiting for something good to come around. The part where people here complain about venue choice or opening bands or drink prices really aren't conceding to just how good New Yorkers have got it. The music here is just so unbelievably good. The ticket prices are insane here, but so is everything else. There are twice as many free shows here as there are total shows in a place like KC, I can't wait for summer!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 11:40 PM

resell ticket all the way!

Posted by Anonymous | May 7, 2008 11:51 AM

Absolutely nothing available in the general sale, not at this point. Supposedly, tickets went on sale at noon on ticketmaster, but it looks as if they were sold out by the end of presale unless I am mistaken.

Posted by LC | May 7, 2008 12:05 PM

one day too early perhaps?

Posted by Anonymous | May 7, 2008 12:11 PM

LC - I have no idea what you are talking about. And yes, you are mistaken.

Posted by CN | May 7, 2008 12:12 PM

Sorry, I am one day too early, my bad. (slinks off)

Posted by LC | May 7, 2008 12:26 PM

sigur ros's website just announced the concert today and it says that tickets will be on sale tomorrow on ticketmaster. so there must be some left. yay!!!

Posted by Anonymous | May 7, 2008 12:38 PM

umm...omaha?...huh?...dub-tee-eff?...

Posted by Anonymous | May 7, 2008 10:04 PM

sold out!!!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 11:56 AM

Still tickets, keep trying.

Posted by magomra | May 8, 2008 11:59 AM

I picked up 2 on the Ticketmaster general sale right at noon.

Posted by Scott | May 8, 2008 12:00 PM

Got 'em. Phew!

Posted by CN | May 8, 2008 12:01 PM

Does anybody know how seating at the Grand Ballroom works? The ticket I got is for FLR 3, but no seat #. The seating chart indicates that the seats are numbered though

If someone could shed some light on the subject I'd be very grateful

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:01 PM

sold out, but got two tickets in the upper level
at least i'm going! seen them twice from first row :)

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:02 PM

Got 2...keep trying

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:02 PM

i got em at noon, but they seem to be sold out as of 12:05

Posted by jp | May 8, 2008 12:02 PM

i got floor four row b. anybody know if thats the second row or how the hell this place is set up?

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:05 PM

12:01 - go back to TM and look at your profile. The row, seat information is listed there.

Posted by CN | May 8, 2008 12:05 PM

this is bullshit. I was in at noon, 12:01 tickets were unavailable.

what a scam

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:07 PM

Does anyone have one spare ticket? I was refreshing for five minutes, and was immediately told that it was sold out, but I kept trying, and got tickets in section 101... and then my computer froze. I'll bring you a melted water ice from Philly...

Posted by Geoff | May 8, 2008 12:08 PM

I noticed the same thing - I got Section 103, but no seat # - seems odd.

Posted by Scott | May 8, 2008 12:08 PM

ticketmaster sucks

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:09 PM

I got section 101 as well, I think it's upstairs standing only. I have been to that place once but it was all GA, so don't know if they'll do the same as Gramercy, where they put chairs with assigned numbers

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:10 PM

I am FLR4 Row A. Are you guys sure it's not GA because this seems really vague.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:10 PM

Damn, Row X. Looks like I'll need better glasses or at least binoculars

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:10 PM

It's not GA. Go back to your Ticketmaster profile and it lists the Section, Row and Seat Number.

Posted by CN | May 8, 2008 12:12 PM

That it does, Edward...that it does.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:14 PM

damn, after going into my profile, i realized i got row b, hopefully that's 2nd row.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:15 PM

Now I see the Seat #. It's FLR4 Row A seats 1-2. This is great!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:15 PM

Damn, I wonder how the presale tickets compare.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:18 PM

somehow i missed them after being here since 11:55 at the ticketmaster site. awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:18 PM

The stage is not as big as they make it out to be on the seating chart. You will be way too much to the side for first row, but you'll live.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:21 PM

... for everyone living in Ticketmaster's world, that is.

Posted by Geoff | May 8, 2008 12:26 PM

anyone know how good tix in-FLR 3 V seat is?

Posted by alex | May 8, 2008 12:28 PM

This band don't really do much on stage except play, so wherever you are you will enjoy the music. Not the end of the world if you are in the back, this place is small

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:30 PM

I got tickets and other people didn't! I rule!!!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:31 PM

"This band don't really do much on stage except play, so wherever you are you will enjoy the music. Not the end of the world if you are in the back, this place is small

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:30 PM"

This guy is spot on. SIgur Ros do not do anything on stage meaning stage presence. It is all about the music and atmosphere baby. This place is small, the sound is great and no matter where you are in it you will love it. This is a band where there is no difference if you are in the front row or the last row. Just smoke a joint beforehand, sit back and let the music consume you. Just be thankful you got a ticket and got in cause many people got shut out
Cant Wait

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:38 PM

sick. really f***ng excited to be seeing them and its only in a month. One more important question tho, will I be able to smoke a bowl if I have seats or should I make brownies or smoke beforehand?

Posted by alex | May 8, 2008 12:41 PM

"sick. really f***ng excited to be seeing them and its only in a month. One more important question tho, will I be able to smoke a bowl if I have seats or should I make brownies or smoke beforehand?

Posted by alex | May 8, 2008 12:41 PM"

Ummm get yourself into a drug rehab program maybe if you are that concerned or obsessed by this. I am kidding. I would not chance smoking in the place.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:44 PM

Just be sure you are a placid flyer. Last time I saw them I had to tell the one guy next to me to shut the f**k up. He kept saying "dude, this band is awwwwwwesome!"

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:46 PM

I received an email with free songs - but never received a ticketmaster confirmation email. Did this happen to anyone else?

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 12:54 PM

"I received an email with free songs - but never received a ticketmaster confirmation email. Did this happen to anyone else?"

Samething happened to me. If you go to ticketmaster profile you will see your order.

damn-I hate places that don't show your seats to after you purchase. Still got good seats row K

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 1:01 PM

yup, me too. call tm and they'll send you confirmation email by end of day. that is if you really want it.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 1:02 PM

No stage show? How did you miss the entire marching band walking around the last (full set) time around?

I have seen them front row at the Beacon, and I would have prefered to be a little more back.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 1:04 PM

Yeah, no stage show. No full horn section marching around the stage, no lighting effects, no backdrop, no videos. They just stand there and play.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNFm5o5cb-0

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 1:28 PM

i got them from the box office. no prob. 4th row center...

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 1:35 PM

um they have a backdrop and projection and everything

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 1:42 PM

Um, I was being sarcastic about the idiot who said they have no stage show. Sigur Ros have an amazing stage show, as the youtube video shows. I was also at the show (and recorded it) where the horn section marched around the stage. Amazing stuff.
http://www.nyctaper.com/?p=100

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 1:50 PM

I got 4 tickets. _Might_ have some extras (won't know til much later if I need them), if anyone wants them. Face + fees and rounded up.

Posted by Cuse | May 8, 2008 2:36 PM

Cuse - I got shut out. I would be interested in any any extras you want to sell. bomboloni (at) gmail

Posted by bomboloni | May 8, 2008 2:40 PM

I may be interested as well. My email is bigbigbill@charter.net. Thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 3:30 PM

Cuse: I know you don't know if you'll have extras yet and two other people already want them, but if you do realize you don't need them and they don't want them anymore, I'd deeply appreciate even being able to buy one ticket. I've been trying to see Sigur Ros for a long time and I've always had problems like being away at school when they were playing in the city. Anyway, my email is thewebinfront@gmail.com if anything changes

Posted by jill | May 8, 2008 3:37 PM

To nycdickhead taper plus a few of the other morons. Thank you for the YouTube videos basically proving my earlier comment about their lack of stage performance. A marching band stomping around notwithstanding what i was trying to say was that this is not a band you have to be up close to enjoy. No matter what you dolts say, seeing this band live is much more about atmosphere and the music. Yes they have projections and screens and curtains which you can see clearly from anywhere in the place. The band though basically stands around on a very darkened stage and plays. I love their shows and agree they are beautiful things to view but unlike many other bands this really is one band you are not getting any advantage being up close. Any seat is a great one.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:19 PM

Everyone's entitled to their opinion Anon 4:19. I'm not sure how you could possibly be getting so worked up. Instead of shitting on everybody, try using a toilet

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:31 PM

Who am i shitting on anon 4:31????? The people who i was letting know that any seat in the house for this show will be great????

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:35 PM

Alas, you are so wrong again. One of the advantages of being up close is the opportunity see the various instruments that Jonsi will play throughout the night, including pipe organ, piano, and harpsichord. He doesn't just stand in the middle of the stage anymore and play bow-guitar. And of course, being far back you won't get to see Amiina at all, since they are seated. The details of the various projections, streamers and intricate lights are also lost when the viewer is far back.
Anon 4:19, you are indeed an idiot.

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 4:36 PM

Calling people dickheads, morons, and dolts isn't shitting on people? Anyway, what are you, 7?

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:37 PM

For those of you who got tickets in the pre-sale, do you know if they will be mailed or electronic? Also do you know how to find out what the seat locations are (since they are not through Ticketmaster)? Thanks.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:39 PM

I will say that NYCTaper, although a cool guy, IS making me nervous that my row x seat is crummy

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:39 PM

"notwithstanding"

I love it when people say "yeah, except for that one part, it doesn't matter". Why not just ignore everything?

I guess you got a bad seat and need to feel better about it. Every concert is better up close.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:41 PM

"I will say that NYCTaper, although a cool guy, IS making me nervous that my row x seat is crummy"

Don't worry, the venue is smaller than the Felt Forum or Beacon, so even the farthest away seats are great.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:43 PM

Anon 4:39,
do not listen to him. He is being a total fuckhead and is competely wrong. How would he know anyway??? You think he sits in the front rows for shows he tapes??? I have seen him at tons of concerts and he is either in the middle or the back. He is never up close so fuck him. The band plays on an incredibly darkened stage. Look at the videos. I have been to see them a number of times both up close and farther back and trust me you lose nothing. You will enjoy the show as much or more than someone in the front row. The details of the various projections hahahah laughable. Sigur Ros are a wonderful band and seeing them live is amazing and while its got some lovely things to look at it, it is all about atmosphere and the music.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:44 PM

I dont' think there are any "crummy" seats in this venue:
http://mcstudios.com/images/ballrooms/GBweb5.jpg

The only problem seats will be far back in the balcony (not in the picture) and deep on the sides of the balcony.

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 4:44 PM

Yo, 4:44, tell me ONE concert where you saw me "far back"?
Just one. Go ahead. You're full of shit.

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 4:47 PM

nyctaper, ummm hell lets see the easiest and you say it yourself. Bruce Springsteen i believe you posted that you were taping from the 300 sections if i remember correctly? Yeah i think i was at the same show but in the 4th row on the floor so i couldnt see you being that far back and up

Shall we continue??

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:50 PM

Not far back, in the 3rd row of the 300s right on the side of the stage. And YOU DIDN'T SEE ME there, like you said.
Tell me ONE concert where you saw me far back. After all you said you've seen me at "tons of concerts".

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 4:54 PM

""notwithstanding"

I love it when people say "yeah, except for that one part, it doesn't matter". Why not just ignore everything?

I guess you got a bad seat and need to feel better about it. Every concert is better up close.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:41 PM"

No actually i dont know where my seat is because i got it in the presale. But i am told those seats are going to be the best in the house. Unlike you though i tell it like it is and not bullshit. Not every concert is better up close. This band being one of them.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 4:54 PM

nyctaper,
oh im sorry yes i did not see you at that one but you were not close to the stage. Let me continue and lets be precise because at many concerts "far back" is relative to the size of the venue. Lets take the most recent which was Fiery Furnaces at southpaw. You were not on the floor. You were sitting on the riser in the middle. Let's take another. I was at Was(Not Was) recently at Blender and you were not up close at that venue either. You were towards the back. Now everyone should know that you tape farther back because the sound is the best there especally for taping. God Bless, nothing wrong with that. But dont be a dick and try to make someone falsely feel bad because they didnt get tickets right up front for a band that you dont have to. Especially when you dont sit in those seats way up front.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 5:04 PM

Furnaces, at the railing about 40 feet from the stage, literally the best possible location to view the band at Southpaw. Was Not Was, the dead middle of the floor at Blender, about 30 feet from the stage. Relative to the venue, both of these locations are actually quite upfront. Try again.

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 5:11 PM

Oh, and don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad about ticket locations. As the picture indicated (the link I posted), there isn't a bad seat in this venue.
I'm just calling the dumbass who says that Sigur Ros has no stage show a dumbass.

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 5:14 PM

qq everybody.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 5:16 PM

nyctaper,
how can i try again when you are mistating facts. I cant argue with your falsehoods? Sorry dude, I was right up front for Furnaces and i say that was better than where you were viewing them. Right? Isnt upfront where i could see more of the interplay of the band than where you were as you were. I would not call where you were at Blender in the middle of the floor. I have seen you at Mercury taping in the back. I have seen you at Irving Plaza taping under the board which is itowards the back. To me these locations are not upfront relative to the venue. Great places to tape though i will give you that. Bottom line is upfront is upfront and you are not upfront. You can parse this any way you want and say this and that but we know its the truth so stop it.

"Unlike you though i tell it like it is and not bullshit. "

Then why use the word "notwithstanding"? Either it doesn't matter or it does. Choose.

Yes nyctaper, Sigur Ros has a stage show but not one that you have to be up close to enjoy and being up close to it does not make it any better.

Hahaha life must be so wonderful for you seeing everything as this or that. The reason is said notwithstanding is because the marching band is a small part of the show and is not on for a majority of the time. So it is really not a significant part of the show.

The front rail, center stage at Southpaw is about 40 feet from the stage, and about 5 feet over everyone's head. I saw every single bit of interplay between the band members because no one's head was in my way, no one was on the cellphone, no one spilled a drink on me, and that crazy guy dancing upfront didn't bump into me like I'm sure he did to you. Behind me at Southpaw was the vast majority of the crowd that wasn't stuffed onto the floor, and a good 150 more feet of venue to the back. At Blender, I was literally dead middle of the floor, which as you know is in front of 20-30 rows of seats. Mercury will only allow me to tape at the "back", which is all of about 50 feet (at most) from the stage.
I'm still not hearing about the "tons of concerts" where I've been 'far back'.

This thread has turned into a teenage girl cat fight. You're both idiots. Enjoy the show.

Nice try and trying to diminish a certain part of the show. Stop trying to save face. Honestly, after seeing Sigur Ros already a few times, the addition of the marching band was one of my favorite parts of the last tour. Glad I wasn't sitting in the 300s when it happened. That said, the Grand Ballroom is small, and every seat (except maybe upper balcony) will be great.

And what about the part when the played that tiny instrument at the end of the main set? Could you even see it from far back? Doubtful.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 5:36 PM

Hahaha cn but you are certainly the wise one just siting here reading it all and only jumping in to call someone else an idiot. Stupid fuckhead.

Nyctaper again i dont agree and you seem to have excuses for everything. It was 20 rows back..they only let me tape in the back..springsteen i was in the 300 levels but on the side of the stage and you didnt see me there blah blah blah. Give me a fucking break dude. For most of us at any venue upfront is upfront. Im not gonna sit here and keep listing shows i saw you at where you were not upfront just so you can tell me why you were where you were or how it was the best seat in the house

So yes all people who are going to this show and dont have seats in the first 5 or 6 rows please listen to nyctaper who never sits anywhere that close up and throw out your tickets.

Reeeorrr, scratch scratch, reeeoooor.

Posted by nyctaper | May 8, 2008 5:40 PM

You said you saw me at "tons of concerts" and I'm always in the back. This is of course completely untrue, so now you've changed it to the fact that I'm never upfront. Now you're right, I'm almost never upfront (for good reason), so you win.
Enjoy the show, and enjoy the recording you will undoubtedly download from my site without ever posting thank you.

"Nice try and trying to diminish a certain part of the show. Stop trying to save face. "

Save face?? Are you fucking stupid? I was not trying to diminish it idiot but truth is its not a major part of the show but im very glad you enjoyed it so much and im sure the band is also. ANd im sure the people in the 30 levels enjoyed it just as much but i cant speak for them

"And what about the part when the played that tiny instrument at the end of the main set? Could you even see it from far back? Doubtful."

and unless you were in the first 2 rows you could not see it either.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 5:45 PM

ncytaper
i never changed anything. Yes you are not upfront and yes you are in the back....maybe its not the way way back or the backity back or maybe its the middle back. Sorry i was not exact on where in the back you are. And yes i have seen you at tons of concerts but im not gonna sit here and list em all as i said. Bottom line is you are not sitting upfront and should not be giving out "words of wisdom" about it.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2008 5:56 PM

"and unless you were in the first 2 rows you could not see it either. "

With my great eyesight, I was able to see it from my sixth row seat, thankyouverymuch.

Great show, can't wait for the next one.

Email from the Presale people today with seat assignments. Anon 5:56, if you're looking for me at this show, I'll be in the 5th row.

Posted by nyctaper | May 9, 2008 8:30 AM

got my confirmation email, Floor 3, Row C.. amazing
anyone else luck out w/ fan club presale seats?

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 8:59 AM

Not so great for me (relatively): row M. But at least it's floor 3 center aisle seats. I would take back floor 2 and 3 over front floor 1 and 4.

I guess the ensemble will be the same as Coachella.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:02 AM

Nice. Floor 1. Row D.

Tight

Posted by Chris | May 9, 2008 10:45 AM

I also got Floor 1 Row D through the pre-sale. How do you know where the specific seats are? The seating chart I saw was very general... One of my seat numbers is 3 if that helps.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2008 10:59 AM

the floor chart on ticketmaster has seat numbers
