Ugh Terminal 5.

Worst News Ever

Thanks and fuck you once again Bowery Presents. Sure, put the glorious music this band makes in a fucking awful sounding cavern. Always thinking of the concertgoer.

Can we get some parents to move into that neighborhood and get Terminal 5 closed down already?

Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 3:24 PM

^^^

Again...dont. fucking. go.

simple as that.

Moron, it is not as simple as that.

Actually yes it is. If you don't like Terminal 5, then just wait for the next time they come around.

I don't get it, it's not as horrible as people make it sound.

Last tour they played the Apollo. Why are they downgrading to Terminal 5?

It actually is as bad as people make it sound. Maybe even worse when they have bands like this in there

That was an acoustic mainlines show with just two members, a couple of singers and strings..this will be a full band.

Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 3:36 PM

is it easy to find parking in the area?

Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 3:46 PM

although this is electric mainlines, i wish it was scheduled for a sit-down venue.

James Brown had a full band at the Apollo, why not Spirtualized?

you know what made that show at the Apollo extra special..all the hipsters who arrived late and talked throughout the performance..what happened, was the L train runing an hour behind schedule that night???

Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 3:58 PM

i know this is off subject, but i'm excited for this show.

i haven't yet experienced the horror that is supposedly terminal 5... but very glad i caught spiritualized at the apollo last year!

I don't get it...would people rather see bands at crappy Roseland instead? Terminal 5 is clean, you have multiple places you can stand, and last night you could hear Tegan and Sara perfectly fine.

People in the city really need to get the sticks out of their asses...

Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 4:08 PM

Terminal 5 has the appearance and acoustics of a Costco. Roseland is a much better venue. Its not great, it's not even good, but it wouldn't keep me away from a show I'd otherwise go to like Terminal 5.

Posted by Commuter | May 13, 2008 4:23 PM

Roseland is the only place worse than T5. This all has been discussed before though. I am not going to this show. I would definitely go if it was anywhere other than Roseland or Terminal 5. (I would have to think about it if it was at Hammerstein.) If they don't want my money, they should keep adding more shows at these venues.

Who cares where they play? Are you all just a bunch of audiophiles, professional engineers, working at the School of Audio or something... Like you would even know the difference.

Fuck, if I like a band, I'll go see them play at the beach. I don't care.

What a bunch of pussies!

Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 4:59 PM

I'll take terminal 5 over hammerstein and Roseland anyday of the week. Better sound and viewing don't get what you hipsters are talking about.

"Terminal 5 has the appearance and acoustics of a Costco"

So hilarious and so dead on. Good work.

And here you have the demographic of the concertgoer targeted these days by Bowery Presents. Someone who does not give a shit about sound or venue. A truly amazing idiot.

I LOVE Spiritualized, and I love seeing them live, but I'm not going to go to this for the very fact that it's at T5. Why oh why can't they book the Town Hall?!?!

Posted by touristique | May 13, 2008 5:21 PM

Be cool, y'all. Jason & Co. will be back in September. They always hit our fair city twice per album cycle.

hmmmm... Sat. July 26 in Philly?

Posted by Anonymous | May 13, 2008 5:54 PM

besides good sight lines for us tall folk, terminal 5 is just godawful. the acoustics will literally make your ears hurt for days on end after a show.
