this guy has been riding on that one record from 2001 for 7 years now.

Anyone think Ticketmaster will put some more Pearl Jam tickets on sale before the show? they've been doing that with the Iron Maiden MSG show.

I regret not buying the section 65 seats I had when they first went on sale.

This is awesome. Now I can see Ted Leo in my hometown perform a full show and can see The Fiery Furnaces on July 17, the same night Ted was going to play. Yes.

You might want to get your facts straight. Last time I checked, Ted Leo has released 3 records since 2001.

Shame shame on any of you who waited so long to get tickets. It was so obvious that it was Ted Leo when the 'bloomfield vegan' gig was listed. See you at the show suckers!

Hate on Ted all you like, it doesn't bother his fans or him at all. Ted never was (and may never be) your flavor of the month (not even back when he had that album in 01). For over 20 years now, Ted's been working it, killing himself slowly in the process - frigging guy still carries his own goddamn equipment.

Maybe I shouldn't take the bait, but I can't stand fucking idiots.

Ted has been milking it that 2007 release, Living With The Living, which was clearly one of the best albums of the year. At this point, its been like 10 months since its release, and he's released nothing since then. Ted needs to stop riding on Living, and put out some more albums. I mean, 10 months, come on and get off your ass.

"this guy has been riding on that one record from 2001 for 7 years now."

That's hilarious! You're psyched about seeing whatever washed-up 80s/90s band is cashing in by performing their "one record from whenever" at whatever festival in whatever country or state or city you're gonna go see them at, thought, right?

There are not many artists out there who will sell out a larger venue (Irving/Webster Hall) then play Maxwell's. This will be the third time (at least to my knowledge) that he is playing in Hoboken.

plus, those Variety Shac ladies ROCK.

"You might want to get your facts straight. Last time I checked, Ted Leo has released 3 records since 2001."

ha ha - you clearly didn't get it!

the only record of his worth a couple of turds floating in spit is the Tyranny of Distance one, from 2001. That is why his shows sell tickets. Nobody seriously gives a fuck about anything else he's done.

I was unaware that the Ted Leo ticket-buying public had a single spokesperson who speaks so definitively for all of them en masse.

Per last.fm stats, Ted's most listened to cd (by a decent margin) is Shake the Sheets. Living with the Living seems wildly unpopular though, you may want to smash that if you want to troll.

I'm not speaking fro Ted Leo fans, I'm speaking for good taste. This guy is a HACK.

sweet guy, dull as a doornob, not unlike his fans.

Hey you, Anonymous Ted Leo Hating Troll.

I thought you might come back here at some point to see if your posts generated whatever it is your trying to get started here.

Ted is neither a hack or dull as my evidence below will prove.

Hack -

Ted has performed thousands of shows to tens of thousands of people all over the world.
Ted has supported Death Cab for Cutie and Pearl Jam on tour (not to mention dozens of other bands you probably like).
Ted hasn't had a day job in a long time.
Ted is not a taxi driver. Taxi drivers are often referred to as "Hacks".

Dull -

Ted has travelled around the world multiple times
Ted has performed on the billboard in times square
Mixing music and comedy, Ted has collaborated with Human Giant, Sharpling and Wurster, and David Cross in live performances, on TV, and in video shorts.
Ted is a vegan and has been featured in Peta ads
Ted got into a fist fight with Bob Pollard

Like his music or not - you can't call him a hack or dull as I have refuted both arguments.

Bring it on, bitch....

Ted Leo was great tonight. Really passionate, honest rock n' roll, just like always. Thanks for the heads up BV!

yea maxwell's the other night was so amazingly awwsome. i felt like such a kid though, my 20 year-old self and my 16 year-old sister...but !!! it was so epicly great!

"Ted got into a fist fight with Bob Pollard"

The word I'd heard is Ted got punched in the face by Nate Farley. Not really a bullet point worth bragging about.

Chisel was a great band. Ted/Rx, not so much.
