Don't feed the trolls (e.g., the first commenter), people.

Maybe Bloomberg is going to pardon Sting for the entire output of his solo career.

Al Sharpton & company should show up and protest over the Sean Bell shooting -- seriously.

Bloomberg will be announcing his presidential candidacy - and "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da (is all i want to say to you)" will be introduced as his campaign song, as well as his ambitious domestic agenda.

The Police will close out their triumphant tour with a special concert in New York City's spectacular Central Park. The concert will take place on August 9th, four days after their scheduled final concert at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater.

No they won't.

He'd better not be running for president. Further splitting of the vote makes Mark an angry human.

Anon 11:18, nice try with the link, but you failed. And you should probably be careful sending out unpublished AEG information to the public. I hear people get fired for that kinda stuff. Thanks for giving us the scoop though.

Sorry, I don't know how to make a link. The document is not on my computer, I get it from the internet, but its not http.

Fuck you and your two-party system.

This may be our last chance for a Police/Cars tour! how sweet would that be? Semi sweet!

I live in Ct & was thinking of driving in for the announcement but then I figured what for? It's not like the boys are going to give me a front row seat for showing up. Anyway, I had a funny feeling Aug 5 at Jones beach wasn't big enough for their finale. Central park is a better size for Sting's ego LOL. Seriously, saw the Police in Honolulu for 2 nights in February & they were AWESOME!!!

final police show anounced to take place in New York City at undisclosed venue on a to be determined date for undisclosed price as a benefit for public access tv. Lot of holes to be filled here.....That's what she said.
Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 1:16 PM
No official word on the venue. are we assuming this will be in central park? There was nothing stating about august 9th either.
Posted by sollie | May 6, 2008 1:19 PM
Maybe Sting will quit... GOD PLEASE GOD MAKE IT HAPPEN....
Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 1:19 PM
all Brooklyn is being bulldozed and renamed "Synchronicity" and zoned for condos with a giant statue of Sting where Studio B used to be.
Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 1:21 PM
'Last ever concert' is about as reliable a phrase these days as 'The check is in the mail' or 'Don't worry, I'll pull out.
Posted by greg | May 6, 2008 1:25 PM
1:08 PM = teh awesome.
Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 1:46 PM

Posted by queenbee | May 6, 2008 4:55 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2008 8:25 PM
NWA should open, and play, "Fuck the Police."
Also, will Sting do yoga in a loincloth for an encore?
