Van Halen

It's May 23rd. That means Phil Selway is 41 years old, and that Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth will be returning to NYC this evening.

Saw VH in Atlantic City a few weekends back -- Ed can barely move anymore and the kid is stiff too. Pay close attention to the piped-in second guitar parts ('Jamie's Cryin' in particular), bass lines and harmony vocals. If you can look past all that, it's a great chance to see David Lee reclaim his legacy.

Alex Van Halen, despite having transformed into an old black man, is fucking out of control these days. I saw them in Jersey on the 13th and he plays so fast that you'll think you're seeing a metal band.

They may be older, but it's still a hell of a lot of fun. If only Michael Anthony were along for the ride

Nothing against Phil Selway, but does he really merit a Wikipedia article separate from the one about Radiohead?
