Cross-Pollination 192 @ Pianos (upstairs) ft Led To Sea & Bedtime, 8pm (free)
Led To Sea is from Seattle: myspace.com/ledtosea
Led to Sea is the solo project of Seattle violist/composer L. Alex Guy. Alex spins mysterious, eerie, melodic songs with her viola and voice. Using live sampling, she builds layers of beautiful/freaky string sounds and sings melodies above the string fray, creating a haunting and compelling musical world.
Bedtime is from Lexington, KY: myspace.com/thebedtime
"Relatively new locals Bedtime are the most orchestral band in town, period. Churning ebb and flow guitar riffs take a backseat to the almost operatic piano compositions of James Friley. This is trimuphant music in every facet, recommended for fans of The Dresden Dolls and Neutral Milk Hotel." - Michael Powell, The Dame (Lexington, KY)

Marry me, Thee Silver Mt. Zion violinist with the red summer dress. I do not care if you are maybe already married to the Beirut dude. Marry me.
Or marry the dude in the Bowery balcony who was rocking out and refused to leave when security tried to throw him out during "These Hands Move Mountains" for standing up in the balcony (ok maybe also toking up when security was right there). Amazing show. Never seen them before, are they always this great?
