All Points West ferry tickets are not cheap

Ferry

All Points West Friday Ferry Tickets
Pier 11, New York, NY

Pier 11 is located in downtown Manhattan on South Street between Wall Street and Gouveneur Lane. Take MTA subway #2 and #3 to Wall St. Walk down Wall St 2 blocks to South Street. Turn right on South Street and Pier 11 will be on the left.

Advance tickets are $20 each, tickets are $25 each beginning August 2nd and $30 each when purchased day of show.

Those prices are per day. All Points west is three days long. It's not as scenic, but a much cheaper alternative would be the Path to Jersey City.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 4:45 PM

New Artists Added to All Points West!
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Trey Anastasio and Classic TAB (featuring Russ Lawton, Tony Markellis and Ray Paczkowski), Robyn, Matt Costa, The Duke Spirit and Ben Jelen have just been added to the line-up for the first-ever ALL POINTS WEST MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL.

Now it's even more pitiful!

Posted by texastab | June 4, 2008 5:04 PM

enjoy that jack johnson and radiohead brah!

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:05 PM

divide and conquor...
as long as people see everything as seperate it is so easy to manipulate them with all that wrath blocking them to be free and loving and kind to one another.
i love you

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:06 PM

besides the ass raping (which fuckin turns me on) the convenience factor really sucks. Its easier to get to randalls island and i live in new jersey.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:09 PM

radiohead should play a free show somewhere in the 5 boros to make up for this bullshit.

Posted by butternuts | June 4, 2008 5:10 PM

I'm still waiting for them to lower the ticket prices because of poor sales.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:12 PM

Anyone New yorker who cant figure their way to Liberty State Park deserves to pay $20 for the ripoff ferry

Posted by clairepetrol | June 4, 2008 5:19 PM

Dudes! Just go to that Staten Island festival, bros! The ferry to that place is FREE!

Posted by greg | June 4, 2008 5:22 PM

guess sunday wasn't selling hence adding Ben Harper and Trey to sundays lineup.

light rail $1.65

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:23 PM

i'm also guessing ticket prices will be lowered at some point.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:24 PM

One way $30? or Round Trip $30?

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:26 PM

i'm guessing round trip will be $60, if you buy tickets the day of. Could even trust-funders afford to pay that?

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:33 PM

phish is secretly playing those show i hear.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:34 PM

$30 roundtrip -

the radiohead nights will sell out barring rain/storms

cant say the same for sunday - poor bastards did it to themselves.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:37 PM

that show is going to suck.
what a bummer
why can't we get anything like the european festivals or coachella?

this crap-- come on

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:38 PM

"phish is secretly playing those show i hear. "

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:45 PM

Posted by jp | June 4, 2008 5:49 PM

what mobbed-up venture is raking in the dough on this nonsense?

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 5:57 PM

$10 each way is expensive?

How much will it cost to take the subway to the path train to the light rail which will take forever instead of paying $10?

Here is an idea. Don't go. More room for me.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 6:19 PM

"$10 each way is expensive?"

$10 + fees each way, 2 months in advance. yes. $15 each way if I wait until that day. yes.

"How much will it cost to take the subway to the path train?"

The same amount it will cost to take the subway to the ferry.

"How much will it cost to take...the path train to the light rail..?"

Less than $4.00 each way. Also, light rail is not necessary. It's not a far walk from the path.

"which will take forever "

World Trade Center to the Jersey City stop that is within walking distance of Liberty State Park on the Path takes three minutes once the train comes. I'm not kidding. THREE MINUTES. Then it's maybe a 10 minute walk to the park at most.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 6:33 PM

"Here is an idea. Don't go. More room for me."

that IS a good idea!

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 6:38 PM

yeah, well, by the end of the fest after spending all your hard earned duckets on tickets, ticketmaster fees, ferry rides, beers, food, maybe a 35 dollar T shiirt. add it up- it's a lot!

but oh, wait, it's probably not YOUR hard earned money, hmmm...
better have mom and pops up your allowance. you know they subsidize your bushwick shithole anyway

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 6:56 PM

all of you haters can eat the peanuts out of my poop
hell, you can have the corn too

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 6:58 PM

"better have mom and pops up your allowance. you know they subsidize your bushwick shithole anyway"

yes, because bushwick has anything to do with this.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 7:08 PM

haters hate because their mommies dont love them

she loves the pills now

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 7:21 PM

radiohead is overrated. who are yupsters with money gonna listen to at a festival, U2? i dont even understand what thom dorke is singing half the time. abstract stream of consciousness b.s.

Posted by freddy mercury | June 4, 2008 7:37 PM

freddy all of your good songs fit on 1 cd.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 7:54 PM

a thousand wasted brooklyners all depressed...

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 8:26 PM

The Path not as scenic? What are you talking about. Nothing is more scenic than seeing a pantless bum defecating on the platform.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 8:41 PM

Radiohead will kill as usual. They always do. That being said, I'm gonna blow it off.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 8:47 PM

"Waaaah, I'm poor. I can't go to the festival." Good, there will be more room for me to lay out.

Posted by Richie Rich | June 4, 2008 9:43 PM

You people REALLY need to get laid more often.

Posted by greg | June 4, 2008 10:54 PM

show us the way, Greg!

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 11:06 PM

All Points Weak indeed.

Posted by Anonymous | June 4, 2008 11:37 PM

All Points Worst

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 8:06 AM

estimated wait time at the ferry? just asking, because when I went to Camden for a show, it took us 2 hours to finally get the ferry back to Philly.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 8:42 AM

6:33 ok thanks for that info. you rule!

so to summarize, you take the path train from WTC one stop to Jersey City and a 10 minute walk.

potential delays in boarding the ferry I see as the biggest problem with this whole set up.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 8:52 AM

the wait for the ferry getting to the island isnt that bad, maybe 15-30 minutes depending on the time you get there. but getting back to the city is a nightmare. does anyone else remember the infamous line back in '01?

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 9:03 AM

Ah, the old days. The ferry lines are terrible on the way back after the show. Terrible.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 10:35 AM

i would normally opt for the cheaper option but seeing as how i live right by south street seaport this is a no brainer.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 10:38 AM

amazing how this ferry went from free to $20 being compared to the last time Radiohead played LSP. this just makes me happier that i decided to skip the show.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 12:38 PM

" i live right by south street seaport this is a no brainer."

If you live right by South Street Seaport, that means you also live right near the Path

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 12:49 PM

I live in Billyburg and temped in Jersey City for a while. On a weekday, it's easier getting there than uptown. The only hitch will be getting home at midnight, but the ferry will fill up and people will have to wait for that too. I hope NJ transit is planning for this festival.

Save your ticket or receipt from the concert and for the rest of the season save $10 per guest off our sailing charters.

Take the Liberty Landing Marina Water taxi it is only $7 each way as opposed to the Concerts Waterway ferry which is $50 round trip.

Visit www.sailthehudson.com for info and directions.
Have fun and don't let them take so much of your money.

30 bucks for a fucking ferry ride. that's why new york blows!
