Battles opened for Gnarls Barkley at the 150th MySpace Secret Show at Irving Plaza in NYC last night (June 8 2008). It was hot. They were hot. It was Bao's first time seeing Battles. He thought they were the highlight of the evening. More pics & tour dates below....

it was sweltering in the venue. everyone in vip came downstairs because it was nastier up there.

Man, it was nasty everywhere. I was in the front row through the first two acts, then my friend passed out. We sat in the back for Gnarls Barkley where there was actually a little air. The EMTs said people were dropping like flies.
Anyway, that Janelle girl was awesome. In my opinion she was the highlight of the evening, if only for her immense energy.
