Not a huge CWK fan but I know a bunch of people going down. I on the other hand would much rather see Times New Viking at the Whitney.

Anyone have an idea of times for both these shows. Essentially I want to know if its possible to see TNV and then make it all the way to Prospect Park to hang out with my buds and watch some CWK?

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2008 2:44 PM

is there a cut off limit or recommonded time or any kind of ticketing/rsvp required for the Prospect park shows?

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2008 3:03 PM

What does everyone think the line is going to be like for the Prospect Park CWK show?

Posted by Pop GURU | June 26, 2008 3:12 PM

do they cut off shows at prospect park?

also, do they cut off shows at mccarren? (specifically the free hold steady show).

do they think a woman's place is in the home, and homosexuals should be stoned to death? or that george bush is doing the work of God?

holy 'christ' this comment page is dumb

Posted by JJ | June 26, 2008 3:50 PM

you guys are all sooo cool.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2008 4:42 PM

overrated band. mediocre at best.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2008 5:45 PM

these guys still exist?

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2008 8:31 PM

do they have a "stone the homosexual" interlude during their shows?

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 12:20 AM

Can someone elaborate on what people are implying in this comment page. Maybe I missed something... but I always thought CWK made fairly good blues rock, and I never considered them to be Christian rock.

dude's dad is an evangelical preacher, and well, you know how those motherfuckers can get.

i'd say stay away from these holy (rock n) rollers.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 1:26 AM

they're professed hardcore xians. just picture the 700 club crossed with vampire weekend--you'll get the idea.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 1:36 AM

who cares what they believe in?

it's about the music you fucking oddball cynics.

He is busy with his online dating thing, His profile was seen at dating site " RICHLOVING.COM" yesterday, where the successful and affluent singles and hot girls and models to hook up for Hot Love, Flirt and Sexy Dating! A rumor goes that he is dating a young single woman on that site.

Posted by Sunny | June 27, 2008 4:49 AM

what time do the doors open for these things?

Posted by anon | June 27, 2008 10:40 AM

If you are so weak minded to be afraid of non-threatening, secular music by people who may or may not be of faith, then that says a lot more about your own failings as an individual than anything that may or may not happen from seeing a fucking rock show dudes.

also, in that pic he looks like Woody Harrelson.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 11:44 AM

I only want to listen to music made by bands who believe exactly what I believe.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 11:57 AM

Anyone know any good Unitarian bands?

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 12:00 PM

It's suppose to rain/thunder/lightning....

Posted by Pop GURU | June 27, 2008 12:26 PM

cold war kids played a great show last year at bowery.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 1:04 PM

They played a great show a few years back at Mercury too.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 1:06 PM

Thunderbolts and lightning?
Very very Frightening.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 2:16 PM

who cares what they believe? it's about the music?

ok, forget what neo-nazi groups believe, as long as they rock.
i like this approach.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2008 2:36 PM

Equating a Neo-nazi group and a group with tenuous connections to mainstream religion is like comparing a felony attack with a baseball bat that leaves someone in a coma for 2 weeks with brain damage, and someone flicking you with their finger.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2008 2:19 AM

2:19 , you're a dumbass.

Posted by Anonymous | June 30, 2008 3:20 PM

"tenuous connections" my ass. the guy's dad is a fucking evangelical preacher. and they're all bible-thumpers themselves.

Posted by Anonymous | June 30, 2008 11:22 PM

And you care why, exactly? Did his dad try to convert your rebellious goth little sister to Christianity or something?
