Given the quality of the music releases, this has to be my favorite release week of the year so far. I can definitely see a couple of these releases on my year-end list of favorite albums. First and foremost Shearwater's Rook is as strong an album as I have heard all year. Another stellar release is the Centro-matic/South San Gabriel double album, Dual Hawks.
Other albums I have heard and can strongly recommend include Fleet Foxes' self-titled album, Aimee Mann's @#%&! Smilers, Ladytron's Velocifero, Oppenheimer's Take the Whole Midrange and Boost It, and Weezer's Weezer (Red Album).
Radiohead's The Best of is also out this week in three different options: a 1-CD edition, a 2-CD edition, and a 4-album vinyl edition.
What are you picking up this week? Are there any releases worth adding to the list?

Does anyone know when the Sigur Ros album presale begins? I thought it was today, but I see nothing.

picked up the recent:
Sigur Ros double, with acoustic in anticipation of the newest.
latest Breeder which excels
Malkmous and the Jicks
looking forward to that Manu Chao you have listed...
I know they are not brand new, but fairly recent.

Stars Like Fleas: The Ken Burns Effect. as confusingly lovely a record as i've heard in some time and one you can chew on for a long time without it becoming cloying.
