enough festivals already

the problem with this particular festival is how they arranged the lineups. the people who want to see jack jackson, primus and ben harper (barf) are not the same people who want to see broken social scene, andrew bird, and m. ward, for example. i'm just sayin...

ball nuts. why are we even having "festivals" anymore. seriously. can they fucking fit any other artists on that bill? fercryinoutloud. just stick everyone who owns an instrument in this country under a tent for every day of the summer...and let's call it a day.

and, it bears repeating...why is jack johnson at every festival this year? yeah, the guy's publicity agent must be making a mint, but that doesn't save the fact his music makes me want to stick my head next to set of drums and beaten silly for an hour.

Is San Francisco near Brooklyn?

Why is APW the closest festival in proximity and subsequently the WORST??!?!?!
I'm sad!

while i was disappointed in wilco's last album. with strange irony, the first studio album master nels has played on with them and the safest one of theirs to date, how on earth can it be that jack johnson is headlining above them? i guess the lowest common denominator really does always win.

"stick my head next to set of drums and beaten silly for an hour"
I'd pay to see THAT.

why would you people complain about a music festival? You don't know how to have fun, period
Posted by Birdo | June 23, 2008 3:28 PM
I'm going to this one, should be fun.
Oh yeah..."problem addressor," seems like you have some problems that still need addressing.

I am one of those white people who want to see...
primus
Ben Harper
broken social scene
andrew bird
m. ward
Is it so wrong to also want to see
Radiohead
Beck
Manu Chao
Wilco
and Widespread Panic?
How bout Galactic and sidestepper?
Hell, that's what's great about this fest. I dont need to be pigeoned holded into one type of music.
Agree on Jack... but outside of that, I would be pissed _ I look at Jack as a bonus, I can hit the road home early.
