Posted by blah | June 10, 2008 11:45 AM

the website is already crashed? i was fearing this would happen.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:46 AM

Got them. No problems or delays. Easy.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:53 AM

Get over yourself, 11:45. It's BrooklynVegan, not PerezHilton. You're not the only one who had planned on getting tickets for this anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:53 AM

i would have ordered more to scalp, but it doesn't specify it tix are by mail or will call

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:54 AM

Posted by ryan | June 10, 2008 11:54 AM

Posted by mbf | June 10, 2008 11:54 AM

Got mine. Thanks again BV

Posted by Dan | June 10, 2008 11:55 AM

seemingly sold out...gotta love that "noon" apparently means "whenever the fuck we feel like"

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:56 AM

Whoop! got mine, thanks to obsessive refreshing since 11:50am.

Posted by anon | June 10, 2008 11:56 AM

This is the only time you hipster fucktards are ever gonna see the inside of a museum, so I have to thank Sigur Ros for momentarily breaking you of your Bridge & Tunnel ignorance?

Shit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:57 AM

Went onsale at around 11:57.

Sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:57 AM

capacity full at 12:03?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:57 AM

11:56, in these cases, you need to start refreshing the page at least 5 minutes before the announced time

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:57 AM

im in. cant fuckin wait for 2 days in a row.

Posted by yes! | June 10, 2008 11:58 AM

12:01 - sold out. lame

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:58 AM

11:57, chill out, some of us are legit art geeks.

Posted by anon | June 10, 2008 11:58 AM

MOMA apparently has a different handle on time than most of us mortals, but the typical pre-time refresh did me good. Nabbed 4.

Posted by davey | June 10, 2008 11:58 AM

i registered for the event and have a confirmation number but i have no tickets...

Posted by arakias | June 10, 2008 11:58 AM

On sale at 11:58...sold out.
Something's wrong here.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:59 AM

Sold Out. I hate you all. I hate hate hate you all.

Posted by Chris | June 10, 2008 11:59 AM

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 11:59 AM

How much is capacity for this event? Anyone know?

Very happy to have picked up 2.

Posted by travis | June 10, 2008 11:59 AM

fuck you u fucking fucks

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:00 PM

Posted by tk | June 10, 2008 12:01 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:02 PM

it's still not sold out yo.

Posted by guest | June 10, 2008 12:02 PM

Pain in the ass -- I tried ordering two, had them in my cart, entered in my information, then hit enter, and errored and wouldn't process it. I tried it again and got the same error. I tried calling up the processor to find out whether I was going to get charged twice, or at all, and whether I got the tickets or not, but they phones were busy and I had to leave a message.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:03 PM

had two
hit enter
and got an error msg

now i'm onhold with cevent

rad

hey, know what's indie rock?

SCALPING!

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:03 PM

i got four...they opened the system around 11:56

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:03 PM

I heard there were 800 tickets (my friend called MOMA). Sold out before noon. What BS.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:04 PM

anyone else get an error page after they put in their credit card info for tickets. i had 4 but couldnt complete the order.

i feel like firefox is to blame

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:05 PM

i got confirmation too but didn't actually buy anything. what is up with that?

Posted by melissa | June 10, 2008 12:05 PM

I had the tickets in cart - put in cc info - and then got capacity full.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:05 PM

i made an effort, thought I was in, but then got an error message to call c-vent with my ID number. ah well, kudos to those who got tix

Posted by banker | June 10, 2008 12:05 PM

"i registered for the event and have a confirmation number but i have no tickets..."

Same here...not sure what this means. It took me through all the steps, but then it said $0 due and $0 paid, but gave me a confirmation #. I kept getting that error message, but finally got through after the third time entering. Received an email saying my tickets are held at MOMA though? Maybe?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:05 PM

@ 12:03

the exact same thing happened to me; tell me what they say

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:05 PM

I had the same error message and was on hold...just hung up cuz I don't have time for this BS. Get a system that can handle lots of traffic assholes.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:06 PM

yeah i got my tickets at 11:55. no problem at all.

Posted by jroy | June 10, 2008 12:06 PM

there was a little message in red at one of the early screens. it says if the number of tickets registered, paid for, owed is zero$ then the registration is VOIDED.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:07 PM

i ordered 25 tickets, you can email me about them at sigurros@mademerich.com

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:08 PM

maybe you got the tickets after all, same thing happened to me but now Im looking at that e mail and it says I got tickets!

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:08 PM

a big EFF YOU to BK vegan for reminding all the little urban outfitter flocked $hitheads about tickets so their mommy and daddies can buy them 4 for each of their useless friends.

if something is that limited, the FANS should know, not the general populace

k, thx

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:09 PM

Didn't even bother since I already have tickets for the Grand Ballroom.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:11 PM

i smell a controversly of 77 drummer proportion here. anyway, im showing up night off with that confirmation number and see what happens.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:11 PM

yeah it looks like "admission" is free, but to buy tickets to get in, was "optional". i had 2 tickets, but then didnt put my zip code in stupidly, so I failed.

Posted by arakias | June 10, 2008 12:12 PM

I have a spare. If anyone wants to take me to the Grand Ballroom, I'll take them to this one...

Posted by d | June 10, 2008 12:12 PM

i got the same non-descriptive error, completely unclear whether the event sold out or if firefox was causing an issue.

hey moma, please actually use a legit checkout service next time that will customize your checkout pages so it's clear what you're registering for and what the hell the error message is for

(bc i'm sure they really read these comments but whatever, it's ridiculous they didn't test this)

Posted by some annoyed nerd | June 10, 2008 12:12 PM

it's called free market capitalism buddy.

if you got a problem with it you can haul your sorry ass to China.

Posted by Warren Buffett | June 10, 2008 12:12 PM

I got that same e-mail! just crossing fingers there wasnt some mix up. anyway I should get in cause im a MoMA member, if they give me shit i will just threaten to withdraw my donation, see what happens then.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:14 PM

it's not free market capitalism, it's being poorly prepared for an influx of activity.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:15 PM

im guessing if my email says my tickets are being held at moma but then the itemized registration listing only lists a 'registration' but no tickets... that i dont have any.

this is the email i got....

someone who definitely got tickets... im guessing it listed the amount of tickets you had?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:15 PM

Yes it did

Posted by Pete | June 10, 2008 12:17 PM

12:12. Fuck off.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:17 PM

I would have gladly paid the extra few dollars service charge for this to have been on Ticketweb and actually processed orders correctly. This is going to be a total mess come the day of.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:18 PM

Anon 12:15 - my confirmation does have a value in the number of tickets section under the itemized registration information header

Posted by mp77 | June 10, 2008 12:20 PM

@ Anon 12:15 - yes my confirmation e-mail clearly states Number of Tickets Quantity 2

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:20 PM

hahaha. well, I would say, give it a shot anyway. those guys dont need to know about that additional info.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:21 PM

Can I purchase a ticket from someone, would really like to go.

Thanks.

i think i will try it.

i mean who gets a confirmation number for a free "registration"?

who sets up an ordering system where your account registration goes in a cart?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:25 PM

You didnt get it fucko...life goes on

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:25 PM

@12:03 - did talking to cvent customer service do any good?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:26 PM

No worries; tix will end up on craigslist. Who needs "casual encounters" to feel used & sore?

Posted by anon | June 10, 2008 12:27 PM

Got my pair!

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:29 PM

Yeah, if anyone has extra tickets for friends that don't even know sigur ros, please let me buy them? I had the same error messages :(

Posted by tanya | June 10, 2008 12:29 PM

how much do you think we can scalp these for?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:29 PM

tickets back on sale 12:25...

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:30 PM

well at the very least thats some contradictory info there in the e-mail. at the very least moma should send e-mails clarifying whether we got tickets or not.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:42 PM

This is what I received. You need a payment receipt for tickets.

Subject: Payment Confirmation/Receipt for PopRally Presents Sigur Rós at MoMA

As far a tickets going on sale early, I like the fact that this is part of the Olafur Eliasson exhibit "Take Your Time". There is a pun or irony there somewhere...

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:48 PM

12:47, not the brightest idea to post your confirmation number.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:52 PM

doubt it matters since that confirmation number is useless without a name and id.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 12:57 PM

12:52, clearly name and id are needed.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:00 PM

I'd like to buy two tickets for this show off of someone. Is anyone looking to sell? If so, please email me: jessica.schary@gmail.com

Thanks!!

Posted by Jessica | June 10, 2008 1:05 PM

fuck!!!!!!!!!!! they apparently went on sale before the noon hour, nice going moma, and it said sold out right away. fuck that. however, seeing this post made me laugh my ass of and somehow all is ok:

This is the only time you hipster fucktards are ever gonna see the inside of a museum, so I have to thank Sigur Ros for momentarily breaking you of your Bridge & Tunnel ignorance?

Shit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:08 PM

DOn't they play for only 20 minutes? Does anyone know how these pop rally things go?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:11 PM

it's listed from 7 or 8 - 11 so that seems to be a little longer than 20 minutes. just sayin'. but then again, based upon moma's crack style of time telling, who the fuck knows.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:15 PM

poprally events suck. It takes longer to get in than the actual event lasts.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:17 PM

They're going to play the whole new album. Trust.

But the reason why it's listed as a 4-hour event is because it also includes a viewing of some art piece.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:22 PM

do they sing in english on the new one? go back to hopelandic or whatever the hell made up language is they usually sing in.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:26 PM

if this is anything like the cat power show...there will be an open bar for like an hour or two beforehand/a chance to look at the art. then they'll play (and open bar will be closed)

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:47 PM

I have 4 tickets and can provide ID's if necessary for entrance. I will sell each ticket for $300 or all 4 for $1000.

Posted by blah | June 10, 2008 1:54 PM

For those with questions about their tickets:

"A registration number for this event does NOT mean that you sucessfully purchased tickets. If you did not receive a credit-card payment confirmation, then you DO NOT have tickets for this event. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience."

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:54 PM

Does anyone know if we can pick up our tickets before the show?

I bought a pair for a Father's Day present...

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:55 PM

this makes me so sad. like, "i want to be pissed on by black lips" sad.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:58 PM

NO scalper

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 1:58 PM

Just an update on the rumour of the tickets being sold out before noon.

I work at MoMA, and was responsible for making the page with the Ticket link live.
At 11.55 the link to C-event went live.
At 12.00 the ticket event on the C-event website was made live. Contrary to what some people wrote above, it was not possible to buy tickets before 12 o clock.
At 12:03: All tickets sold out.

I'm sorry for the fans who didn't manage to get a ticket.

Posted by Lotte | June 10, 2008 2:12 PM

(fart)

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:13 PM

Hey,,Lotte...any chance of releasing more tickets throughout the day? Can I let go of the refresh button?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:16 PM

Hello Anonymous.

They are really sold out, and we won't be releasing more tickets.

Perhaps you could refresh craigslist throughout the day, searching for a reasonable ticket-seller:
http://newyork.craigslist.org/search/tix?query=sigur+ros&minAsk=min&maxAsk=max

Posted by Lotte | June 10, 2008 2:23 PM

i don't know what the fuck you're talking about lottie - i sure was able to buy tickets before noon.....

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:25 PM

Lotte

please don't fuck up next time

thanks

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:27 PM

Hi Anonymous,

Didn't your mommy ever teach you that people online are not always who they seem to be?

Want to lick my pussy?

Posted by Lotte | June 10, 2008 2:28 PM

yeah lotte, I was able to get all the way through to billing info page with tickets in my cart before noon...

That's when I got that error everyone is talking about.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:29 PM

this is so cruel, why didnt you let people know that we would have to register for the tickets which probably took at least 2 or 3 minutes, so by the time you registered these people that jumped the gun had tickets? so not fair. Im just emotionally crushed by this.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:31 PM

Boo fucking hoo. I registered the same time you did and I got tickets, quit your bitching.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:33 PM

I think it would have been more fair to accept all registrations and then lottery off the tickets. I mean you have to be at computer at 12 pm or else you dont get tickets? how is this fair? what about all the people who cant be at the computer at that exact time? think of all the nice people who wanted to go and didnt get tickets because they dont have a job where they can sit on the net all day.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:37 PM

Tickets will sell out, that's life, the real BS behind this is for those who had to give up their credit card number to a company they've never heard of (who the F is cevent?) and than get locked out of actually receiveing the tickets. Me and my wife both put our credit cards through and got the "your order could not go through". Called the number and waited 20 minutes, and the asshole on the line says to talk to MOMA about it, when it's obviously their issue.

Ticketmaster is a horrible organization for a shitload of reasons, but at least they realized that you don't want people to have to give their credit card info without being guaranteed something in return, how tough is it to program a five minute on tickets while people are entering that info.

Posted by Andrew | June 10, 2008 2:38 PM

you guys are just horrible at using the internet.

im not even a fan of sigur ros and i got my 4 tix.

im just an eliasson fan and a sucker for free drinks.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:46 PM

good job to everyone who bought tickets just to sell an $18 ticket on craigslist and ebay for $100 and over. what the fuck is wrong with you people? people like you is why people who actually want to see sigur ros live (people like me) can't because you take up more than half of ticket sales. if you want to make money selling tickets, do it some other way.

good job.

bravo.

kudos.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 2:57 PM

O V E R R A T E D ! ! ! !

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:00 PM

Im just devastated. I will go home and cry in the corner. I hope Sigur Ros and MoMA are happy now.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:03 PM

Everyone just stop complaining.

It was a fucking website. On the internet. Everyone on the fucking planet had equal opportunity to get these tickets.

If you didn't go to the page until 12pm, then you are a dumbass.

If you went to the page 5 minutes before, like any veteran ticket-buyer would, you probably would have been fine.

if you got screwed in the buying process through an error screen, then you are not a dumbass, but this is not the website's fault. the tickets were sold out before you completed your necessary information.

if you are saying you like sigur ros more than everyone else on this site, you should have been buying tickets on several computers with several friends trying at the same time.

everyone. shut. the. fuck. up.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:04 PM

Anyone with an extra ticket...it'd be sincerely appreciated.
vmarkc@gmail.com

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:06 PM

thanks for calling me a dumbass.

you're real fucking mature.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:06 PM

"if you want to make money selling tickets, do it some other way."

Hilarious quotation. What other way would that be?

And anon 3:04pm is right, everyone shut the fuck up

Posted by johnny truth | June 10, 2008 3:07 PM

Is the "blah" at 1:45pm who's selling tix for $300 a pop the same "blah" at the very top of the comments section (who was complaining about BV's reminder as it would potentially prevent him/her from getting tickets)?

I hope it's a joke b/c if not, you are seriously the BIGGEST DICKWAD in the long history of BV dickwads!

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:07 PM

Anonymous 3:06pm

the definition of immaturity is being a sore loser and crying over spilt sigur ros tickets. meanwhile, logically explaining why the rampant immaturity on this site is uncalled for is quite the opposite.

someone calling you a bad name doesn't make them immature. if anything, it makes you immature for taking it like a five year old. deal with it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:09 PM

peace assholes.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:09 PM

have black lips started peeing yet?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:17 PM

wow if "blah" is the same person, that would be very very suck-ass of him/her.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:19 PM

the craigslist & ebay prices are f'n crazy, but if people are willing to pay it what can you do, offer them $20 and hope they take mercy on you?

Posted by anon | June 10, 2008 3:20 PM

go outside.

Posted by asdlfjsadf | June 10, 2008 3:21 PM

no sweat, brahz. they'll be back from iceleand again in a couple years. till then, you've got your black lips peeing shows to get all excited about. i'll be at this show! suckaz.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:21 PM

" I mean you have to be at computer at 12 pm or else you dont get tickets? how is this fair? "

life ain't fair baby. you aren't entitled to shit. just sayin.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:21 PM

If you didn't get an actual PAYMENT CONFIRMATION for the $18 ticket, DO NOT SHOW UP AT MOMA. The "registration number" thing was an error, and your tickets will not be held at the door because you never bought them. Something like 500 people fell victim to this error after the actual tickets had sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:23 PM

3:23 - about 700 actually. but yeah, what he said. if you don't have confirmation of PAYMENT then you do NOT have tickets. don't waste your time (our ours).

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:27 PM

"I mean you have to be at computer at 12 pm or else you dont get tickets? how is this fair? what about all the people who cant be at the computer at that exact time?"

Get a job, hippie.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:35 PM

Where were these tickets even available for purchase?
Did a "buy tickets" option automatically come up near noon time?
I checked at 10:45am or so and there was no indication of where tickets could be purchased?
Either I'm an idiot or you guys saw something I didn't.

Explanation please.
Thanks.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:37 PM

You're an idiot

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:41 PM

3:37 and everyone else-you are fucking stupid.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:42 PM

"I mean you have to be at computer at 12 pm or else you dont get tickets? how is this fair? what about all the people who cant be at the computer at that exact time?"

Yeah ,yeah, and by the way, they should be playing the 18th instead of the 17th because I had already planned something else with my girlfriend. This is so unfair... I'm not sure I'm gonna get over it pretty soon. And the tickets? $18, I wanted to pay only $15. This is also unfair. This life really sucks....

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:42 PM

oh believe me, we're gonna show up. and we will not be happy. prepare yourself to be pissed on, Black Lips style.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:43 PM

3:04 said it all. nobody say anything else.

also, someone i know just put their tickets on craigslist for $250 each. they listen to langhorne slim at work.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:44 PM

Look, everyone relax, the comment about selling the tix for $1,000 was a joke, I'm only asking $700.

Posted by Blah | June 10, 2008 3:45 PM

Oh come the fuck ON! How am I stupid??
I heard about this show yesterday and went to this site: http://moma.org/calendar/poprally/upcoming.php

it only had "Ticket Info" but didn't note WHERE TICKETS COULD BE BOUGHT!
How am I to know it would be sold there or if it were to be sold on some other site?
I went to the Moma site and there no mention of Sigur Ros playing or any way to buy tickets.

Again, I ask, did an option to buy ticket show up come 12pm or something?
I NEVER FOUND OUT WHERE I COULD BUY TICKETS.
SOMEONE FUCKING EXPLAIN THIS BULLSHIT TO ME.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:48 PM

"I NEVER FOUND OUT WHERE I COULD BUY TICKETS.
SOMEONE FUCKING EXPLAIN THIS BULLSHIT TO ME."

you fail at the interwebs and life.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:49 PM

Ok i was not going to wade into this bullshit mess cause im going to see them the day before and it is going to be a better and much longer show but here are some notes. But this did happen to me today and i am pretty pissed off.

First of all, Anon 3:23 and 3:57 dont work for Moma or Poprally at all. I would bet the others claiming on here to work for them dont either. These are just idiots trying to start shit and be funny.

There was a difference today between those who logged in at 12 and tickets were basically just about sold out and those(myself included) who logged in earlier than 12 and got tickets legit up to the finish button. That is when this cvent system screwed up and caused the ticket purchase to not go through. If you got to the finish part and it said you had whatever number of tickets then you had your tickets held pending credit card confirmation. The tickets were not sold out. The computer just screwed up cause they went on sale before 12. Big difference than those who logged in right at 12.
So in fact Moma should fix this problem for those people as it was not their fault. They have chosen to ignore all emails today sent to them as well as now not answering the phones. I got in on the phone earlier and was told to speak to a guy named Alex Rittinger or Wittinger at group sales who is handling the event. They sent me to his phone and i got the voice mail to which i left a message and have not heard back as of yet

Since Moma is being really fucked up about this my suggestion to people is keep calling them non step the rest of the week and bombard them and this guy Alex with messages and yes go to the event the night of the show and present your confirmation number. Claim it said you paid for your tickets. Give them a little headache since they seem to not want to do anything to correct the problem for those who fairly got tickets before they were sold out.

I propose that on the night of the show, we have a BV commenter meetup once we get inside, so we can continue hating on all the whiners who didn't get tix.

I will be there with glasses, beard, tight jeans, and a smug sense of satisfaction.

3:50:

BREAKING NEWS: Someone got their credit card info in before you did.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:54 PM

" Give them a little headache since they seem to not want to do anything to correct the problem for those who fairly got tickets before they were sold out."

or you could just accept the fact that you did not get tickets and move on with your life. just a thought.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:56 PM

it's amazing to me that everyone is going ape shit about missing out tickets for this event. it's not even a full concert! if you really want to make up for missing out on this show go buy tickets to iceland and see sigur ros FOR FREE with BJORK. jesus.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:57 PM

im a huge sigur ros fan, but i am listening to the new album streaming right now and am a little underwhelmed. maybe i need more time with it, but all the singing and the straightforward pop structure is not blowing me away the way the older stuff has. maybe its for the best that i got jerked around by some bootleg ticket selling system and had my hopes shattered after thinking i had tickets at 11:57.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:57 PM

Anon 3:49 etc

Call me an idiot all you want
but the LEAST you could do is explain how tickets were made available and more importantly where.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:57 PM

TICKETMASTER IS DEAD!!!!
LONG LIVE TICKETMASTER!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 3:58 PM

3:57

you will never know how the tickets were bought. you are doomed to live forever in your idiocy. learn to how internets and maybe God will forgive you.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 4:00 PM

How many of you iceland-loving weeners are going to see Sigur Ros the night before in a much better venue? Most, I'd bet.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 4:01 PM

I am Anon 3:50

Anon 3:54 apparently you are either an idiot or cannot read. It had nothing to do with someone getting in their info faster. If you got in before the noon sale and got to the finish page your tickets were there and being held. The computer system screwed up. Again this was probably only for the people who purchased tickets on the system from 11:57 to 12 apparently.

Anon 3:56 again not reading. I said i am going to Grand Ballroom. I was making a suggestion for others since I am pissed off that Moma is not correcting the situation for their system error. I am not going to Moma tuesday night but id love to see others who got fucked do it just to cause a hassle for the event organizers.

Hello from Reykjavik. I am writing on behalf of Sigur Ros. I was made aware of the situation regarding the show at the Museum of Modern Art.

Because of the weak internet ability that some of you have been inflicted with, Sigur Ros would like to play a special show in the basement of your loft in Bushwick, Brooklyn on 18.06.08.

We hope that Mr. Obama will win the election and help the internet abilities of our fans in America.

Until then,
Sigur Ros

Some of these comments are almost as hilarious as your face when you saw that the tix were sold out just as the clock struck 12.

Posted by anonymous | June 10, 2008 4:07 PM

"Hello from Reykjavik"

hahah shut up.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 4:07 PM

read anon 3:04 and stop talking thank you

4:00

God... I'm crying because you guys are all ignoring me and being mean. This never happens to me.
I'm presuming that the link to buy tickets came up online at 11:55am or so.
But what I'm trying to say that this was not stated anywhere. Not on the PopRally website, not on Moma, not anywhere.
And now I missed my chance to see Sigur Ros :(

Does anyone know when they will come back to NYC
Please, anyone. Have a heart.

its not just missing out on Sigur Rus that pisses me off, what about the open bar and free alcohol, etc and all that? Thats worth at least 18 bucks alone.

also to make an anology, if a plane crashes and the airline tells the families that all the people survived, but then a little while later you learn oops, they made a mistake and everyone died, dont you think they would owe us more than a little apology on their website?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 4:13 PM

This thread is hilarious. I couldnt get tickets but I dont care 'cause I won Coldplay tickets! Fuck yeah! MSG!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 4:14 PM

a plane crashing is analogous to sigur ros tickets selling out before you could react? god you really have things outta wack. go outside. now.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 4:15 PM

Why read 3:04's post. It is not
