That's me with Thurston. How the fuck did you find that photo?

The t-shirt came from the artist Snerko, who interviews people before coming up with slogans that sum up their personality for a shirt.

I told Snerko this story: When I was 15, I was in the front row for Sonic Youth at the Wiltern in LA. I stood next to a still un-pop Liz Phair and strummed Thurston's guitar during "Teenage Riot." It was a seminal experience, obviously.

Thurston got a kick out of the shirt, and was happy to take the photo.

Thurston would look better as a post-op tranny. He's already got the face of an old blemished grandmother.

Thurston is so "guys who look like old lesbians".*

* = That doesn't mean he's not awesome, so evvvvveryone just releax.

Jeff, you must be one tall dude, because Thurston is taller than god and twice as hot.

he's "I can wear these glasses and still be hot" hot.

I'm about 5 10. He's squatting a bit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 12, 2008 11:55 AM

Posted by Anonymous | June 12, 2008 11:57 AM

Success!!

2 Tickets, awesome. Although only after a lot of refreshing

Posted by Anonymous | June 12, 2008 11:57 AM

Try using Safari instead of Microsoft Internet Explorer, it seemed to work better.

Posted by Brian | June 12, 2008 12:06 PM

Whew, that was tough getting through, but finally i have the confirmation! Woohoo! I can't wait!

Posted by Deano | June 12, 2008 12:06 PM

Keep trying. I had to refresh for about 12 minutes before i got them

Posted by Anonymous | June 12, 2008 12:07 PM

Continuous refreshing works...at least it did minutes ago.

Posted by dee | June 12, 2008 9:19 PM

Does anyone know if they sell beer at this event?

Posted by dave | July 1, 2008 12:02 PM

they do NOT sell beer. sneak in your own booze. they search bags... but you can sneak in a flask or pre-mixed drinks in bottles.

Posted by Anonymous | July 1, 2008 12:11 PM

Well crud. I knew they didn't sell beer but I thought I remembered a lot of people with beer/wine at last year's New Pornos' show. You can definitely bring your own food at least, right?

Posted by mp77 | July 1, 2008 12:37 PM

Why did I see this article on the River to River website? It was done today and it says that the show is at South Street now where they do sell beer correct? What the f?
