When not creating music as The Berg Sans Nipple, Aspegren and Berg are still creating music. Aspegren can be heard playing drums on the latest Bright Eyes record 'Cassadaga' and Berg was most recently a member of the beloved and hyped French anti-folk group Herman Dune. [The Devil Has The Best Tuna]Here are some pictures Bao took when The Berg Sans Nipple opened for M83 at Bowery Ballroom last night (June 4, 2008). Their next NYC show is Friday night at the Whitney Museum and it doesn't necessarily cost anything. More pictures below...

m83 were quite wonderful last night and completely blew my mind during the encore. berg sans nipple were far too self-indulgent. everything after the first or second song turned me off.

oh for fuck's sake. BSN were incredible. every song had a unique motif and the set was never boring. I don't what you think self-indulgence means?
M83 played beautifully.

I've seen these guys play four times now in the last year. The MHOW show is probably the weakest set I've seen them do, but still pretty damn good. It was almost all new material.
Also, I've never gotten into M83 on record, but they were really great to see live. Gonna buy the new album.
