nice.

Hammerstein sucks, but it's definitely better than Terminal 5.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 10:23 AM

$42.00 before ticketmaster fees .. ouch!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Brian | June 2, 2008 10:24 AM

Roseland sucks waaaay hard

T5 is second...

Hammerstein isn't nearly as bad by comparison

I saw them open for the RHCP a few years ago... worst 45 minutes of my life. I'd rather be in a dentist's office.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 10:36 AM

I've seen them enough times. I won't see them at any of the above mentioned three places at this point. The next time they play an outdoor venue or an assigned seating venue (not that I'll be sitting) I'll be there.

Hammerstein is so big though. At least T5 feels slightly intimate if you're on the floor. Also, why do all the "cool" bands insist on playing at T5? Do they really feel that much better about themselves for going through The Bowery Presents rather than Live Nation?

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 11:16 AM

OH YES
it is so on!!

Posted by fuckwebsterhall | June 2, 2008 11:23 AM

Anon 11:16am, I really, really don't think that most bands personally pick the venues they play at while on tour.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 11:42 AM

hammerstein is a PERFECT venue as long as you are in the first couple of rows on either balcony.

MARS VOLTA>All Tomorrow's Parties. I must say. PERFECT weekend!

Mars Volta is terrible live.
Worst live band ever.
I would rather see Bob Dylan.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 1:54 PM

^ Incorrect Sir -- I saw them in Terminal 5, and they were fantastic -- and the place was rocking.

lol@bobDylan? he's pretty famous, but I have not seen him live to compare.

Mars Volta is awesome live.
Best live band ever.
I would kill Dan Deacon to see this.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 2:25 PM

bob dylans live show was horrible at bonnaroo, mars volta not so much.

I hope that the T5 show was their "The Bedlam in Goliath" nyc show and that maybe this time they actually play more than one song from either De-Loused or Frances. But hahahahahaha....we all know that's not going to happen. I'm slowly slipping into the "this band sucks" side of the arguement. These shows could be the deciding factor.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 2:42 PM

Well that definitely was a Bedlam concert, it was 2 weeks before the album came out -- I'd think there would be some new vibes going on, as well as showcasing some of the next album in the works.

Man, I would love to hear Eria Tarka live.

why you complaining? the new album is fuckin sick too

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 4:55 PM

sure it is. but would be nice to hear more than ONE old song.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 4:58 PM

why does everyone think t5 is terrible? i saw raconteurs there yesterday and it was pretty good.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 5:32 PM

There is nothing wrong with T5. Stupid NY hipsters want every show to be @ Bowery and bitch about everywhere else.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2008 5:41 PM

Dude, when they played T5, they played for 2.5 hours with no break. I'd like to see any other band do that and actually rock the whole time.

And that new drummer is f**ing amazing!

anyone know the presale password for the show on sale right now @hammerstein? Sept 17th one. Thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 11:24 AM

presale pass is GOLIATH or CONCERT for those that need it. I just got ripped off by buying the stupid tix online. 42 dollar ticket, turned out to cost me 56.65!!!! WTF!! I just didn't have time to go to the box office Saturday, away. Pretty sure this will sell out.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2008 12:25 PM

Where the hell can I buy tickets for the show on the 18th? If someone knows email me at shortridgeauto@yahoo.com
