The Shivers are playing yet another free show. This one is in Williamsburg at Spike Hill, which is at 184 and 186 Bedford Ave (Williamsburg). It's a 21+ show. The Shivers go on at 10pm, opening will be Alisha Westerman w/ full band (at 9pm) and Ori Dakari (at 8pm)
for clarification, this is the NYC band the Shivers with Keith Zarriello. Check out there site too.

What an idiot Kyle Hausmann is... the guy that got locked in the bar.
First, if you are in the bar after 4:30am on a Tuesday/Wednesday you deserve to be locked in. I too have been in a bar that late and you get a clue that it's time to go. The bar has already been closed for about 30 minutes at that point.
Ok, so it happened, but why pose for a picture for a NY Times article? Is this how you want to be remembered? Your 15 minutes of fame?
The only thing I can think is that he did the NY Times article to get the bar publicity. Or, I start to wonder, who are they letting into Harvard these days?

These New Puritans at Mercury Lounge

If it rains is the mccarren show gonna get cancelled? It rained when Tv on the Radio played last year but it wasn't thunderstorming.

i'm pretty sure backpacks are allowed. they'll just search it.

That's cute. How quaint.
The fact that the Times wasted quite a few words/megabites on this douche-nozzle only reinforces their increasing irrelevance in the media world.
Schulzberger IV needs to hang it up now; those shareholders are getting fidgety...

Action Painters and XYZ Affair at Music Hall of Williamsburg for free sounds rad. is there any RSVP list or just first come first serve?

"Then, around 4:30, he went into a bathroom. And for reasons that are unclear even to him, he stayed in there for quite a while."
Hmmm...

I have extra for Adele at Highline Ballroom. Call 718 737 5015

@ 2:23, they run pretty tight at McCarren. According to the website it says the show starts at 7, so i'd guess Rogue Wave at 7, DCFC between 8 and 8:15

Would be a nice evening for disco classic band Heatwave to play in a park. Would love to groove to "Groove Line" on a summer lawn.

So...they ended it DCFC cause of the weather?
Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2008 9:36 PM
Yeah, DCFC got the bums rush when the wind started going. It was pretty grim when the rain started. But more than anything it illuminated how ill-prepared a venue that really is. That kind of storm in Florida is totally prepared for and the show goes on. The pool is a novelty act, and when variables show up, the crowd suffers ... like tonight.

Was a good show regardless, they weren't cut off too early, but I could imagine a lot of angry people if things went just a little different.

the xyz affair / action painters show was tremendous and i think pretty big things can expected out of both bands. unfortunately, whatever was going on outside seemed to drive people away. a real treat for those who were there.

i can understand not going to see the breeders in order to see plant/krauss. but not going to see the breeders b/c you went to the xyz affair?! that's fucking nuts. your only excuse might be that you plan to see the breeders for free next month. but even that betrays a worrying lack of judgment on your part.
