The Pitchfork Music Festival wasn't even remotely good

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 9:50 AM

Wait, what's a wide angle lens?

Posted by Joseph Xu | July 24, 2008 11:39 AM

I was at pitchforkfest and it was great. The first year of pitchforkfest was better, but that lineup was pretty much the best weekend of music that I will ever see. But Titus Andronicus, Health, Times New Viking, Dodos, No Age, Animal Collective Dinosaur Jr. and about 6 other acts all killed. A lot more then you will get for $65 anywhere else. All points west three day passes are $260 and the lineup is much worse.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 11:48 AM

the dodos=pieces of shit. talked about how they met and hung out with all these celeberites and tom cruise and shit at a show and how he was "such a cool dude". dick nuggets fo sho.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 11:57 AM

mmm mmmm muddy titties.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 11:59 AM

It takes a nation of millions to hold my boner back.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 12:01 PM

i'm so jealous of jay reatard's perfect curls.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 12:14 PM

This was my third year for the Pitchfork fest and it was the best yet in my opinion. I will head back for the fourth year in a row easily over any of the other overpriced festivals that are out there. So many killer sets this year and they make little improvements with the festival set up each year and the vibe is very positive for the most part.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 12:22 PM

everyone's way too hairy these days.

except, thankfully, the blonde mudhoney

But yo, guess who's the black Trump?
Dough be flowin by the hour's

Word up! Quick to set it, don't wet it
Real niggas lick shots, peace Connecticut

Where are the Boban pics!?

Posted by Ben | July 24, 2008 1:02 PM

I think I've come to the conclusion that there are only about 75 "popular" or main stream indie rock bands. All these stupid festivals, have all the same bands, playing all the same music, its kind of sad.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 1:12 PM

At least the Flatstock portion of the event totally ruled...

something for everybody!

Posted by vastagh | July 24, 2008 1:46 PM

The festival wasn't as good as last year, but was better than three years from now.

Next year's festival was 3/4 as good as two years ago, plus beers.

When Rocky Napoli reads this blog he wants to read about music -- if he wants to read snarky, annoying comments, he knows where to find gawker.com. Seriously, Rocky Napoli wonders sometimes if the same assholes who post at gawker post here?

Posted by Rocky Napoli | July 24, 2008 3:12 PM

I don't recall The Dodos talking about Tom Cruise but maybe I was just too busy making out with the blonde mud girl. Boo yea. The Dodos are good stuff.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 3:20 PM

You've shamed me, Rocky Napoli. I need some time to ponder and reflect upon my posting behavior on this site - to think upon what I've done.

Posted by Anonymous | July 24, 2008 4:43 PM

Wait! I didn't get to see up one guys nostril well enough! Reshoot!

That would have been an awesome day.

Very nice pictures, you have a real talent for photographic concerts. Can't say I've ever heard of any of these bands though :)
