^^^ no not sweet. this event last year sucked so many kinds of balls.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 12:25 PM
Some confusion already: when I went on the site earlier it allowed me to book a ticket, which is allegedly being sent to me in the mail. But it seems it's quickly changed over to will call sales only. I wonder if I'll get that ticket?
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 12:28 PM
yeah i got one for the mail, but now it seems willcall only.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 12:29 PM
Sweet indeed, but why Williamsburg. Gag.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 12:33 PM
I'm not convinced the ticket will show up. Do you think it's worth applying for will call as well? I can always give the ticket to someone else if it does show.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 12:34 PM
These people realize that a ticket implies it's going to grant someone admission right?
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 12:45 PM
whenever i think of the Boredoms, i think of those internet videos of those massive Japanese orgies, with about 1000 couples having sex at the same time in an open field or auditorium or whatever.

^^ you should be checked into the mental hospital.

I wasted enough time on this last year.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 12:58 PM
the wisdom of doing this in two different cities is questionable. boredoms will prob be there via a vid link, but thats just boring.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 1:08 PM
it's back to physical tickets i'm so confused
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 1:18 PM
sheesh. yea seriously. can we have a cool free event and not have it be a clusterfuck, just once?
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 1:22 PM
I figure that 88 drummers has got to be worth it, especially for free. Boredoms might not be there, but I bet it will be a hell of a lineup.

"I figure that 88 drummers has got to be worth it, especially for free. Boredoms might not be there, but I bet it will be a hell of a lineup."
Let's try this again. It is not a question of might. BOREDOMS WILL NOT BE THERE. Not via any hookup. Not nothing. Waste of an event. That is why tickets were not gone in a second. And yes without the Boredoms this will not be good.

Already tickets on Craigslist! Scalpers ruin everything!!!
Posted by Blake | July 18, 2008 1:38 PM
theres nothing on craigslist, moron
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 1:46 PM
It's 2:20 and I just got one - mail. No problem.

I think we all know now that the Boredoms won't be there. But seeing 88 drummers play together is still worth it.

I just got one for mail. I didn't see the will call option at all. I also signed up my roommate who is at the store at the moment. I really don't care about Gang Gang Dance but 88 drummers plus free means I'm there.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 2:28 PM
heard boredoms are gonna be at santos party house after the party. thats gonna blow for sure.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 2:39 PM
um, why is it not worth it if boredoms are not there? how much of a musical difference does their presence make? a piece for 88 drummers is a piece for 88 drummers. are you disappointed every time verdi doesn't conduct his own pieces at the met opera?

Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 2:45 PM
My confirmation e-mail says will call. But when I 'track my order' it says US mail. So I either get in with a ticket or I get in with my confirmation e-mail. Either way, I am excited

Well Verdi is dead unfortunately so we really cannot make that comparison. The fact is this a special piece created by The Boredoms and is really not the same without them. They are the driving integral force behind it. If i got 88 high school drummers together and placed them in a park to perform this, would you go?
Posted by A Manhattan Not Brooklyn Asshole | July 18, 2008 2:50 PM
actually 88 well rehearsed talented hs drummers all on quads and or marching snares could be good and certainly less pretentious.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:03 PM
"If i got 88 high school drummers together and placed them in a park to perform this, would you go?"
I actually probably would go to that! 88 high school kids playing the Boredoms' music? That could be pretty fun.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:04 PM
^^^^^^ hey dude try and stay away from the high school kids,ok?
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:11 PM
This event is for losers. Next years 99 drummers on 9/9/09 will be way better.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:20 PM
"Well Verdi is dead unfortunately so we really cannot make that comparison."
well dumbass, how about philip glass? does he have to be present at each performance of his music?
and yeah, if the hs drummers play it the way it should be played, then fine.
what a moron...
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:22 PM
dude, wait for 11/11/11 when they get 1111 drummers to play.
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:23 PM
good thing this will be WITHOUT the boredoms because it keeps the starstruck fools away. the boredoms presence has no impact on the music performed that night anyway. lets just hope it won't be as boring and oridinary as last years performance, artistically that is.
IMHO way more interesting and musically diverse/complex: Mike Pride's Drummer's Corpse
tomorrow live at the silent barn
Posted by un:art:ig | July 18, 2008 3:32 PM
I can't wait to go to this and meet BOREDOMS!!
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:35 PM

Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 3:50 PM
WOW JUST LIKE LAST YEAR THE PEOPLE WHO POST COMMENTS ON THIS SITE ARE THE WORST. WHAT A BUMMER. NOW I JUST BUMMED MYSELF OUT.
LET'S JUST COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING...HOW ABOUT THOSE WATERFALLS..

To dipshit above, yes the performances that philip glass performs at are much better than the ones he does not(and i have been to both dickhead as im sure you have not). i am sure you spend your weekends going to see cover bands because who cares right? As long as they play it the way it is supposed to be played. Watch who you call moron, dummy loser.
un art ig while i respect your tastes i have to disagree. The setup if you remember was the Boredoms in the center and the rest taking their cues from them. They were very much an important part of the performance not to mention the creators of it.

wow A Manhattan Not Brooklyn Asshole thinks someone is a moron. That NEVER happens
Posted by Anonymous | July 18, 2008 7:38 PM
moron -- yeah, i like seeing "cover" acts. like the time i saw kronos quartet "cover" schoenberg's string quartets.
get your head out of your ass, imbecile.
