Broken Social Scene are playing Mercury Lounge tonight

Well, "Brendan Canning" is playing Mercury Lounge tonight, but really what's the difference anymore. I hear it will be a full band show, and they wouldn't be allowed to call it a BSS show because ...... BSS are co-headlining the Siren Festival on Saturday.

Canning's myspace confirmed as much in one of the blog posts about giving away free tix to tonight's show.

Never did get that free download link Tickethooker promised....

Tito: Might want to look again. Link showed up in my junk mail as an email from someone named Ian something-or-other (not ticketmaster). It did take more than 48 hours for the link to show up.

mercury doesn't use a scanner...not that i know of anyhow...

This is no joke and seems obvious, but scrutinize the artist name spelling, venue spelling, date, and most importantly the face value price + fees listed. When I've seen fake tickets one of those obvious items has been incorrect. And there was also a fake looking authenticator sticker of some kind.

Terrible. No BSS. Canning did a half hour of solo renditions of third eye blind covers and a couple songs from his album. On banjo.
