Crystal Stilts - Southpaw pics & 2008 tour dates

At Glasslands on Saturday (July 19, 2008), there's a pretty killer bill featuring The Crystal Stilts, San Francisco's The Girls. I caught the Crystal Stilts at the Charleston last week, and they just get better (and further from the JAMC comparisons) every time. Definitely one of my favorite NYC bands of the moment and their full-length debut is due out later this year on Slumberland. [Bill]Crystal Stilts opened for the Vaselines at Southpaw. great tunes, but boring to watch.
I think they know that though and got a new drummer who stands up while playing and has some actual stage presence.

the singer's too-tight pants were distracting during the southpaw show. IN A BAD WAY. i enjoyed their music though.
