Speaking of cool, Shadow and Cut are teaming up with the brain-teasing DJ Spooky, recent author of Sound Unbound, for a show at McCarren Park Pool on July 17. Spooky will be tackling the afterparty and remixing the Stax back catalog as ably as he did the Trojan vaults over the last couple of years.Tonight (Thursday)It's times like these I wish I lived in Brooklyn. [WIRED]

* DJ Spooky @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (FREE!)
P.S. Professor Murder are playing Music Hall for free on August 22nd.

The inevitable: "What time do Cut Chemist/Shadow go on" question must be posed...

PB Wolf + Nu Mark @ Studio B should be the REAL after-party, he's way more of a contemporary to Shadow and Cut C than Spooky. Spooky had his day quite a while ago.

I'd say Pb Wolf and Nu-Marc have much more of a connection to Cut Chemmist and Shadow than Spooky does. Nothing against Spooky, he's certainly deserving of his respect. Seems more so than anything, this is just a effort of Bowery Presents to get bodies into Williamburg MH to get that bar crankin and make some money back from their flailing venue. Suckas

BV. i appreciate that you keep on shitting on santos. i think we all know that a large portion (if not majority) of your readers are douches. the lack of santos posts helps keep their presence at cool places to a minimum.

Posted by Anonymous | July 17, 2008 3:27 PM
uh... well, considering that dj spooky couldn't mix his way outta a paper bag, the winner here is clearly dj shadow.
Posted by Anonymous | July 17, 2008 3:50 PM
