Estelle Getty, RIP
Actress Estelle Getty, best known as sarcastic Sicilian octogenarian Sophia Petrillo in US sitcom The Golden Girls, had died at the age of 84. The star, who had advanced dementia, died on Tuesday morning at her Hollywood Boulevard home. Her son, Carl Gettleman, said she was "one of the most talented comedic actresses who ever lived". Apart from the Golden Girls, Getty's credits included films like Mannequin and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. [BBC]

Dementia doesn't actually kill, but it causes disfunction in the body that leads to death.
Which is why you should avoid people who have it, so that you don't catch it....

Hollywood, 1989: As the best boy on the set of The Golden Girls, I had a few run-ins with Ms. Getty. Early on, she'd approach me with a wry smile and kind words. Harmless flirtatious, if anything. At least, so I thought. In latter years, as the show took it's toll, she did away with the niceties. Pushing me onto the dressing room Craftmatic adjustable bed with a single orthopedic shoe, she had her way with me. Many times. She was so experienced, I could barely hold out. I found myself groaning, then moaning, and then, at the cusp of release, screaming. Screaming, proclaiming, testifying... "stop or my cock will shoot!"

4:57, she was a LOT younger than she played on the show, she was basically the same age as the other women on the show (Bea Arthur is actually a year OLDER than her). She was heavily made up to appear a generation older.

Golden Girls is on every night on one of the women channels.I catch it time to time to see that gmilf Estelle Getty.
But one thing I found strange is that she played
Beatrice Arthur's mother.They are the same age.
