I was just thinking about their '06 show at CB's. Man, that shit was ill.

Also, someone tell me why Ignite is still a band in '08

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2008 1:24 PM

Besides GB you couldn't pay me to go to this show. Why is ignite still a band, WHY THE HELL ARE THE AQUABATS STILL A BAND IN '08?! Listfest? As in here is a list of bands that nobody gives a shit about (except Gorilla Biscuits, obviously).

Perfect on point statement.

RE: Ignite
They should have broken up in 1997 when songwriter and bandname/artwork provider Joe D Foster quit. Ever since this band has been nothing short of a pathetic joke (and I sure as shit know more than a few who claim this also applies to the pre 97 era).

I'm gonna procrastinate, this can wait I'll pass today.

I'd rather see Schriefels solo anyday (not rival teams), unless I was 13

I'd love to see this show

al brown till you fall down!

Saw Rival Schools twice this summer. Saw Gorilla Biscuits last fall. Saw Walking Concert in 06 and saw Walter a couple times solo... It was worth to travel long ways for every single show...
Be sure, it's damn rare to see GB live in original line-up.

Gorilla Biscuits formed in 1987 and released their first EP "Gorilla Biscuits" which recieved much success in the Underground scene. After a large amount of gigs they released the classic LP "Start Today", which is considered today one of the most influential Straight EdgeHardcore LPs...enjoy their music.

Hardcore icons Gorilla Biscuits came together in the late '80s to add their two cents to the straight-edge scene in New York City. Ironically enough though, their name came from the street term for Quaaludes. The group went through various members in their time together, but the band's "definitive" lineup was the team of vocalist Anthony Civocelli, bassist Arthur Smilios, drummer Luke Abbey, and guitarists Walter Schreifels and (eventually) Alex Brown; John "Porcell" Porcelly (guitar) and Sammy Siegler (drums) also served in the Biscuits' ranks.
