Good times!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2008 4:38 PM

phew, BV posted two more entries, we can go quarantine this one now

nothing to see here

Posted by kate | July 28, 2008 4:44 PM

Icy Demons are terrific.

discuss.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2008 5:08 PM

As collaborations go, Icy Demons are not exactly unprecedented. Featuring Need New Body drummer Pow Pow (née Chris Powell) and Bablicon bassist Griffin Rodriquez (known here as Blue Hawaii), as well as three Chicago musicians sporting their own clever nicknames, Icy Demons' Fight Back! is really more the consummation of an old friendship than a new deal...YOU'LL ENJOY THEM

Posted by Gemstones | July 28, 2008 8:12 PM

The Demons' successful creation of the samba sound on "park samba" relinquishes the genre of any schmaltz it once had. And the soft, jazzy minimalisms of "Jantar Mantar" and "Realize It" could lull an angry giant to sleep.

Posted by Tanzanite | July 28, 2008 8:17 PM

miami ice is one of the best albums of the year i've heard so far

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2008 8:26 PM

i'd really love to see them play.
this new one is nice. but 'tears of a clone' WAS...and pattern is movement's 'all together' IS the shit. this pop prevails yet again.
