DOWNLOAD: Ratatat - Mirando (MP3)

Ratatat play their sold out show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on Tuesday. Then they'll play NYC again as part of an August and September tour (September 27 @ Terminal 5). Tickets ($22.50) for that go on sale Thursday at noon. Their new album "LP3" is out now and you can listen to the whole thing at Spinner.

LP3 is the third studio album from Ratatat, the follow-up to 2006's Classics and 2004's self-titled debut. Since the release of Classics, Ratatat have toured relentlessly, headlining shows around the world. They were asked to open for Daft Punk at Los Angeles Sports Arena back in June 2007, before they jetted off to play shows in Hawaii and Japan. They have also added their unique sound to a recent remix of Bjork's 'Wanderlust' and released the second in their acclaimed 'Remixes' series, featuring bootleg remixes of Notorious BIG and Young Buck among others.

You could sit at home and play your old Nintendo or go see these guys at a club. Me? I choose to break my mac book air.

I don't care for these guys, but at least the ticket price is reasonable & it's a venue that suits their show.

I have always loved ratatat, have seen a couple of their shows, and for a year or so told anybody that would listen about them. after listening to their new album I find myself hoping that this is the last one doing the "ratatat" thing. it is pretty good, and i think they explored some new ground, but I think it has about maxed out the ratatat-style and the experation date is fast approaching.

these guys have massive talent so i just hope they keep it together and do something completely fresh for the next album. dare i say adding some vocals?

I hope they don't change their style on LP4... their current style is perfect. Still, I don't know how exciting they would be to see live.

Saw them at Webster Hall last year, thought it was a GREAT show. Am super excited to see 'em next week, and am even considering Terminal 5, even though I, as many, don't much care for it. This is the kind of show that could draw me in there, I think.

What time do you think Ratatat will go on stage? I'm going alone & don't want to stand around looking like a dork.
