Phenomenal Handclap Band at 105 RIV at 10pm. Short set from Embassy Sound Productions' band 12 members strong. Members of Calla, Antibalas, Amy Winehouse's band, Honeycut do a showcase featuring their brand of prog-rock disco. Free.

What time does Yaz go on? Seriously. Just need to know at what time I should stop working.

Is his last name actually pronounced, "retard?"
That would just be perfect, unless he's calling himself that on purpose, of course.

sounds like 4:27 needs to get some new friends.
Any friend who likes 311 is no friend at all. They need to go down, down...

Are those new songs on Longwave's myspace page? I have the strangest things and it is really good. Is anyone going to this?
Posted by Anonymous | July 16, 2008 4:40 PM
FYI - Yaz goes on at 8:30, not 9:30 as referenced above. It's a 90 minute set, so if you get there at 9:30, you'll miss most of the gig.

Billy Joel rocked. Many special guests, the best was Tony Bennett singing "New York State Of Mind". Tons of Beatles songs, but no Macca.

Heard Mellencamp, Henley and Mayer were there too.
