Not a great picture of Jennifer Connelly, but she would still get it.

Posted by Anonymous | July 25, 2008 1:48 PM

"you switched robinson and miles there... i know there are a lot of names to handle, so i can understand the mistake"

I think that was on purpose

"also, how awesome is it that keanu is in a band named after a character in bill & ted?"

Keanu is not in Joan of Arc

Posted by Anonymous | July 25, 2008 1:57 PM

how much were the tickets for the killers themselves, minus the fan club fee?

anyone know what the camera policy at the Pool is?

Posted by p | July 25, 2008 2:45 PM

Former Blues Clues host Steve Burns at Union Hall... his album from a few years ago featured most of the flaming lips (he's in their Xmas on Mars movie) and is very Lips-y sounding, pretty good actually.

There's also a house party in WB with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. 141 S. 5th st. 1E. Other bands on the bill: German Measels and Baby Teardrops.

"You have not been authenticated in The Killers Victims Fan club. Please authenticate into the Fan Club Site and then follow the Road link to the show you would like to puchase tickets from. Note- If you have Norton Anti-Virus software on your computer, you can temporarily disable it and try again."

Looks like I'm too late. Not that I was going to buy tickets, though.

If you looked at any music website or blog you'd think Bradford Cox was this huge star. But at the Atlas Sound show tonight, and the one I went to at MHOW earlier in the year, there really weren't that many people there. I like his stuff, but people just aren't as into him as you'd think.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2008 1:17 AM

Bradford Cox, even if not very popular was very good, good voice and good musical ideas.

however, wtf was up with the opening band (crystal stilts)? truly high school talent show type material. especially the singer, who just looked lost (i suspect stagefright).

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/27/nyregion/27shot.html

"At about 3 a.m. on Saturday, the police responded to several 911 calls reporting that a man had been shot at 1519 Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie, outside a building that held a makeshift club in the basement."

A new Todd P venue?
