i bought my tickets for bon iver in the spring. it sucks, but this is the way the NYC show scene works, apparently.

Anyone who wants to see the Surfers should just show up.

I haven't been to any high profile sold out show this summer (including At the Gates, Iron Maiden, Polvo, Swervedriver) where there weren't a ton of people with extras.

Seems to just be the way things are now, having to buy advanced tickets 3,4 or 5 months in advance. More and more people have to bail on shows when their plans change.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2008 4:37 PM

not just NYC, they sold out Boston and DC far in advance as well.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2008 4:41 PM

anon 4:18 - confused. Are you the animal or are you going to bring animals? Should I bring animals? How many? Please clarify.
