Bao got on line for the ferry in NYC around 12:55, waited around 30 minutes for the boat to come, and arrived at All Points West in Jersey City at 2:00.

Kyle Dean Reinford is also there taking pictures for BrooklynVegan today.

East Coast "on line" vs the West Coast "in line". Anything other than "in line" just makes my skin crawl.

Posted by Brad | August 8, 2008 1:58 PM

wow. this is going to suck tomorrow.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 1:59 PM

Hi, I have nothing better to than get on a blog and make snide remarks about a festival that's priced out of my range. My name is sixtypercentgrey. AKA ninetyninepercentdouchebag.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:14 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:18 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:21 PM

Take the PATH Train, then light rail. Save $25. I think we've all seen the Statue of Liberty enough.

Posted by Billy | August 8, 2008 2:25 PM

ugh how long are these lines gnna be?? I can't get on PATH until about 4. Am I fucked?

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:26 PM

I'm taking my SUV to the gig, then dismounting my and my gf's fixed gear bike, to go up to security and show them my fresh cut-off jean shorts and my'z brooklyn velo cap! But first I've got to SMASH MY MAC BOOK AIR!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:32 PM

how can you save $25 when the ferry costs $25?

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:35 PM

women and children first! children first! children!

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:35 PM

i don't want and pushing, and i don't want any shoving.

we're gonna do this in an orderly manner.

women and children! women... and children!

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:43 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:46 PM

I think you're right I didn't notice that at first good call.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 2:49 PM

Hey, yo, I'm on the boat right now! Radiohead are going to be so good! I like them! Woo- hee!

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:10 PM

IN LINE IN LINE IN LINE
if you're on a line, you're standing ON TOP OF IT. but if you have people in front of you and behind you, then you're IN the goddamn thing. f'ing idiots.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:15 PM

Ah, so that's what gay's are.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:35 PM

Here in NYC, we say "on line". Want to hear "in line"? Go back to Ohio.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:38 PM

Bao ba ba Bao ba ba Bao Bao Bao Bao.....

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:44 PM

In NYC we say "in the queue" you fucking dolts. Go back to Boston.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:44 PM

i have decided to swim to the festival.

Posted by past olympic swimmer | August 8, 2008 3:51 PM

Wow, what a line-up

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:52 PM

so you're saying that in nyc you speak like f'ing idiots?

"go back to ohio" - that's intelligent AND original!! i've never read that on this board before!!

btw, i've lived here longer than you.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 3:54 PM

i've heard people all over the world say "on line" and guess what? they still sound like fools.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 4:03 PM

i wish the new pornographers added a new york city show like some of the other bigger names (therefore giving people even less of a reason to go to this failfest).

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 4:04 PM

"btw, i've lived here longer than you."

Really? I was born here 34 years ago.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 4:16 PM

New Yorkers say "on line." Done. Also, ferry tickets bought day of cost $30. And if you already have a Metrocard, you can use it on the path. I think...

Posted by Billy | August 8, 2008 4:21 PM

awesome. you're my hero. i was conceived here when i was -1

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 4:21 PM

new york and new jersey say on line for some unknown reason. i found this out when i went to school in california and everyone was like 'umm...shut up.' when i said 'on line'

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 4:48 PM

no yo, its cause a line is one dimensional - you can't be 'in' a line. You can be standing 'on' a painted or unpainted line thats understood to be a line. If you were part of the line it'd add a dimension that'd make it no longer a line you f'n idiots. Unless you are a point - which you are not. Go Yankees.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 9:20 PM

Is there a schedule posted anywhere for the ferry? I'd like to leave as early as possible and I might return home much later than the show ends.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 11:10 PM

nevermind, I just read the APW site.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 11:11 PM

truly RIVETING blogging action!

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 11:36 PM

you people are all suckers. i took the liberty state water taxi from lower manhattan. it's 7 bucks each way, no lines.
also, new pornographers were boring.

Posted by Anonymous | August 8, 2008 11:59 PM

just got home and aside from a great radiohead set i have to say that the ferry was the best part! this event blows chunks - felt like a police state on the grounds. scalp your tix now...

Posted by brooklynisforlosers | August 9, 2008 12:03 AM

ditto. radiohead was the only reason to attend that mess.

Posted by Anonymous | August 9, 2008 12:13 AM

Fer realz? I thought da reason wuz all da teenage girlz in bikineez.

Posted by Anonymous | August 9, 2008 12:32 AM

radiohead were great. i got there just when they went on. the rest of the lineup was weak. the ferry ride was way cooler than the train, but stupid expensive. i wish i'd known about the $7 boat.

Posted by anonymous | August 9, 2008 12:40 AM

OK Radiohead was on but the crowd was weak. A lot os standing around and it seemed like a lot of first timers....not Radiohead heads...so that Head like vibe was missing.
The venue SUCKS! Porta potties are a mile away. The food was terrible and overpriced, but do get a burrito cause they pile on all you can eat for $10. You MUST get to the ferry quick when the show is over or you will wait 2 to 3 hours to get out of there! And after standing all day it's exhausting. Have fun I'm selling my Sat. tix.

COMPLAINER ALERT !!!! HEY JEFF GO CRY TO YOUR MAMMY!

Posted by Anonymous | August 9, 2008 2:40 PM

The 7.00 ferry rocked and it was so close. So glad I found out about this one and took it! Pity the people who spent 60.00 for the ferry ride.

Radiohead AMAZING sets both nights.
