fucking way psyched!!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 4:55 PM

when he says the ferry is the "greenest" way to go, does he mean it makes him the most green?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 4:55 PM

im sure that art is going to drive me away from staking my claim for radiohead.

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:00 PM

I'm already here, got the sweetest spot for radiohead, bitches!

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:07 PM

Gonna be rain and thunderstorms

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:08 PM

how far of a walk is it between the light rail stop at the concert site? shuttle buses?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:09 PM

All Point West = Yawn Fest 2008. I wish Radiohead would just play a few shows an Hammerstein or something!

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:17 PM

what time does daft punk go on...eh? anyone? anyone?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:22 PM

how far of a walk is it between the light rail stop at the concert site? shuttle buses?

yeah, who knows?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:23 PM

they haven't posted anything about shuttle buses or even a map of the grounds for that matter. is aeg this shitty of an organization?

i'd really like knowing about the distance between the rail and the site though.

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:24 PM

God, this looks so shitty!!!!!! Lollapalooza's stage was way better!!!!!! More like All Points Yawn!!!!!!

Posted by Brooklynvegan commenter | August 6, 2008 5:28 PM

Wow, awful bands like Metric sure get to play in venues that are large!

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:31 PM

what time does daft punk go on? they aren't even playing. oh...wait, i get it. last year they played coney island and a bunch of people wanted to know what time to get to the show so they asked "what time does daft punk go on?" on this message board. and then some people made fun of them. ha! that's pretty fucking funny!

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:32 PM

good comment on ferry guy. what a money bag

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:34 PM

This festival has a shitty lineup.

Posted by michaelways | August 6, 2008 5:36 PM

notice he mentions the ferry, but doesn't say a thing about the njtransit light rail?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:39 PM

Stop fucking bitching. Radiohead at Hammerstein? Are you fucking kidding me? Oh the bitching that would result from that. Oh I couldn't get tickets...Oh the tix are so expensive...Oh the lighting wasn't just right!

Shut up. Buy your ticket. Get on the fucking ferry.

If I toss in calling you all pussies - is that going too far?

Be happy.

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:40 PM

What are they capping tickets at? Or are they just going to continue selling an unlimited number of tickets at the door?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:42 PM

the parking lot if farther than the light rail stop i think.

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:43 PM

if it's farther than the light rail stop, people would be better off getting there early and finding street parking.

or is the parking pass thing an aeg scam too?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 5:46 PM

i'd try parking on the streets of jersey city near the light rail stop. loads of parking esp on wknds where you don't have to deal w/ 2 hr parking and spots should be available near van vorst park on jersey ave. from there it would be like mile walk to actual entrance in park for fest.

on a side note, the park is public so it will be open during the whole fest and upon looking at the set up in person you can hang out outside of fencing and not only hear bands but doesn't look hard to see either. come save yourself 90 bux and the embarrassment of actual paying for sunday's line up ha.

sadly the amazing spot of park where radiohead played in 2001 is not being utilized probably b/c its too small but the spot they have the main stage now will be nice sight lines b/c of a hill going up away from stage.

have fun!

whats the likelihood of people being allowing to watch from boats on the water?

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 6:33 PM

@5:31

don't you dare badmouth my future ex-wife.

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 7:18 PM

Wow, awful bands like Metric sure get to play in venues that are large!

Actually, Metric is easily one of the top bands of this festival. Try again, dullard.

The awful acts are Jack Johnson, Animal Collective, Trey Anastasio, Ben Harper, Animal Collective, Kings of Leon, Animal Collective, and Animal Collective.

At least Daniel Deacon isn't playing.

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 7:35 PM

Metric is playing a 700 person venue in the city on Friday night for $15.

APW with a billion people for $100 or Highline Ballroom with 700 people for $15.

hmm...

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 7:37 PM

yes, 7:37. because everyone is paying $100 and going out to fucking new jersey to see *Metric*...

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 7:43 PM

congrats to CW11 on shedding light on the biggest music story of the year--how veteran promoters managed to absolutely fuck up what could have been an great festival. once i heard and saw the ringleaders, it all made sense. with the main attractions, naturally, being playstation tents and the NYC skyline, it's only makes sense to charge $100+/day. not only that, all attendees can feel great getting jersey drunk, because its all done in the name of "green."

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 7:49 PM

i bet you i don't want to do the interactive PS3 and Nokia tents

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 9:56 PM

See Metric at Highline for $15. i was at Highline for the Killers fan club show and it's a great venue. You won't regret it!

"See Metric at Highline for $15. i was at Highline for the Killers fan club show and it's a great venue. You won't regret it!"

Save for the fact that Metric sucks balls

Posted by Anonymous | August 6, 2008 10:32 PM

Metric sucks my balls, and I'm not complaining.

Posted by Anonymous | August 7, 2008 6:27 AM

your face has a boring line-up.

underworld and radiohead back-to-back is the BEST THING EVER.

"The awful acts are Jack Johnson, Animal Collective, Trey Anastasio, Ben Harper, Animal Collective, Kings of Leon, Animal Collective, and Animal Collective."

How could you not like kings of leon? I am so sick of you stupid fucking hipster puds. Go cut yourself and remember getting beat up in high school.

BV - thanks for the map!

^^
best post so far

Posted by Anonymous | August 7, 2008 2:49 PM

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
