CMJ gets worse every year and it'd definitely still on track for a completely boring lineup. it's lost its reputation for breaking out bands...

100% guaranteed if something is annual in NYC some fucking asshole immediately posts "oh my god, it gets worse every year".
Get a life loser.

crystal castles, high places, heartsrevolution....how could you deny CMJ?
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 12:04 PM
it can be an annual event and still be enjoyable but if it's not then it's not. you're the hostile loser felonious. CMJ hasn't had any pull or clout for a few years now, surprised they're actually still in business. when you know what you're talking about felonious, speak up, otherwise, shut your mouth
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 12:07 PM
Chill assclown. You don't have to rain on everyone else just because you don't like CMJ. You are the one who should shut their mouth. No one cares if you are disappointed.
Posted by felonious cock sucking | August 14, 2008 12:14 PM
you obviously care. thanks for your concern
Posted by assclown | August 14, 2008 12:20 PM
fuck CMJ.
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 12:25 PM
we live in nyc...you want a cmj that has a bunch of bands that rarely come to nyc...not ones that come every few days like this lineup.
thats what used to make cmj so great...theyd be the first nyc or us shows for a lot of great bands.

you guys are really creative "Eat penguin shit, you ass spelunkers."

just don't get a badge if you hate cmj so much...buy tickets to the shows you want to see. it's pretty simple.

Chillax??? What the hell is that? What are you 12?

CHILLAX YO!
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 6:12 PM
CMJ is awesome. As a NYC resident who goes to shows twice a week, I would normally be pissed off about all these other people coming and making it harder for me to get into shows. But then I think about the FADER PARTY. Every year, every day of the festival, FREE DRINKS. ALLLLLL DAY. And free shit. The reason why I look forward to cmj.
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 7:13 PM
lest anyone forget, Crystal Castles steal music.
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 8:56 PM
hope roisin murphy doesnt play the hell hole that is terminal 5. though i'm not sure if she's big enough in the states to play such a large venue.
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 10:41 PM
please elaborate on "Crystal Castles steal music"
thanks.
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 10:51 PM
it's ridiculous how many bands are playing that already played last year.
Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2008 10:53 PM
looking forward to black taxi and benji cossa but the rest are shit. agreed.

The CMJ Marathon is like the AVN Awards except with slightly more metaphorical jacking onto one another's face. I need to know what music college kids are listening to like I need AIDs.

if you want to get into the industry (employment wise), is cmj any good for networking? asking this seriously if anyone's ever had luck doing that at industry events like this...
