To give you an idea, I was in Whole Foods yesterday and they were playing White Winter Hymnal....so ridiculous

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 1:29 PM

Wow indeed.

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 1:32 PM

at least there won't be any bad house music coming up from underneath

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 1:35 PM

white winter hymnal is such a good song. speaking subpop they should redesign their website, the brown/tan thing is gross and weird.

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 1:35 PM

speaking of Fleet Foxes, I wonder how My Morning Jacket's new years even show is selling.

scalpers wet dream

Wow. $19.50 for Hammerstein?! The Grand Ballroom is on the 7th flr right? Regardless if its there or on the main floor, that's the cheapest ticket in town for a space like that. They get my respect.

"at least there won't be any bad house music coming up from underneath"

The Webster Hall show is on a Sunday night. Currently, no nightclub events are scheduled at Webster Hall for Sunday nights (except the Sunday of Labor Day weekend).

In regards to MMJ on NYE:

Best available singe came in section 131
Best available pair came in section 307

I am not sure if that is an indication on how things are moving but seems like they are moving ok right now.

crosby called....stills wants his beard back

Even the Webster Hall show did not sell out for a couple of weeks and you can still find tix for a little over face. If you're lucky and end up dealing with a nice person, you might even get them for face. While this show will likely sell out eventually at these prices, it is far from a scalper's wet dream. Bowery tickets were hard to come by because not many people had bought extra tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 4:18 PM

can you actually get in trouble for scalping tickets? i mean isn't it technically illegal, though it seems like people do it all the time on craigslist.

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 4:20 PM

Sounds like My Morning Jacket

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 7:35 PM

they do not sound like MMJ.

"Even the Webster Hall show did not sell out for a couple of weeks and you can still find tix for a little over face."

Actually, the Webster show sold out fairly quickly and this one should too. Why? Well, a lot of people like this band. Not really my cup of tea, but that doesn't mean I should slag them. Plenty of artists out there for all sorts of tastes.

Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 9:25 PM

This venue is perfect for Fleet Foxes. Well done.

Posted by I-Train | August 27, 2008 9:21 AM

anyone who knows mmj music and knows FF music knows that they are very different. the only thing that is similar is how freakin great they are. haters need to stop.

Posted by anonymous | August 27, 2008 9:46 AM

So buying tickets to resell. Opportunities like these don't come often!

Posted by Anonymous | August 27, 2008 10:14 AM

I like Fleet Foxes. My Morning Jacket are an awful, awful band.

Posted by Anonymous | August 27, 2008 12:34 PM

i really don't understand the hate, aside from oversaturation.

here's a trick: quit paying attention and posting on message boards.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2008 6:42 PM
