"You have to pay to get on the guestlist."
What if I want to pay to go to the show? Then can I get a ticket for free?

"25 bucks free food and FREE BEER"
I don't drink? WHAT WILL I DO WITH FREE BEER? Will there be free soda?

Here's a sweet little nugget, when you buy a ticket for 28.75, you get a subscription to NY Mag, where in fine print it says:
"Credit/debt card subscribers, you authorize New York magazine to charge your card in time to renew your New York magazine subscription before the start of each new term at the guaranteed low rate in effect, without interruption, unless you tell us to stop. You may cancel at any time during your subscription and receive a full refund on all unmailed issues by calling the toll-free number in any issue of New York magazine. If your credit/debit card cannot be charged, we will bill you directly instead."
......So basically, NOT free BBQ, NOT free show. But you do get trapped into a lifetime subscription to NY Magazine. Shady shit! I'm gonna skip thanks.

islands just did a free show at coney. they also recently played a pay show at webster. now they're doing another outdoor (pay) show in manhattan.
shouldn't they be concerned with overexposure?
Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2008 2:50 PM
^^^they pay people to worry about that. don't concern yourself over it ha.
Posted by Anonymous | August 5, 2008 2:52 PM
^^^do they pay you to worry about it or do you get paid to dress like a schoolgirl and blow middle managers in midtown?

"If you do not wish to receive your one-year subscription, please send a copy of your receipt to Customer Service at New York magazine, 75 Varick Street, 4th FL, New York, NY 10013 to cancel the subscription, and you will receive a prompt refund of $9.97."
