Jay Reatard - 2008 Tour Dates (Maxwells, Santos, CMJ)

Tickets are on sale for an October 23rd show at Maxwell's in Hoboken and an October 26th NYC show at Santos Party House. Somewhere in between that time Jay Reatard will play at least one more show for CMJ.

On September 13th Jay will play the I Am Festival in New London, CT with Martha Wainwright, Oneida, Kidz in the Hall and others. The flyer and all tour dates below...

Been hating on Jay since the Reatards first toured w/ the Persuaders way back when! Reatards were okay on record but his backing bands have always made his live shows boring. Lost Sounds SUCKED! Brooklyn Vegan likes Jay because he looks like a douchebag. I post in the name of truth and karma.

i think the dude is pretty talented and usually writes great songs (i didn't like the Lost Sounds much). i have seen the Reatards, Bad Times, Final Solutions, and the Angry Angles - i also saw him play guitar with the Persuaders (three flying V's).

every one of those gigs was really fun. i haven't seen him solo yet but i like the newer songs i have heard. don't understand all the hate.
