'K-Holes (ex-Black Lips)' played Glasslands, Santos tonight
According to this message board...
K-Holes are a new local collection of Atlanta expats featuring current and former members of Black Lips, Wet Dreams, Golden Triangle, and McNasty himself (who ain't actually from Atlanta but married into it)!It looks like the K-Holes show at Glasslands last night was a good time. last time at don pedro's, were scheduled to go like 11 i believe, and it didn't happen until almost 2; have a feeling tonight will be a similar clusterfuck.

Fuck King Khan and Santos for raising the ticket price from $10 to $15 because there was a line in front at 8pm.
Fuck King Khan and Santos for making everyone wait 1 hour before KK&BBQ. Total time at Santos: 4 hours. Total music played: 1.5 hours.

this is the first time i went to santos and for all the hype, its like any other bar/club in the city.
when we were kids, you'd look at the door people like they were the authority but these people are total hacks, very incompetent, and dont really know what theyre doing. outside, they checked willcall lists, inside they checked again...and asked for ids twice...they just are a mess.
as for the show, i was expecting a new bomb turks reunion...instead i got hipsters and fratty guys groveling each other as king khan and bbq played.
they sounded good though they were better and more wild at cakeshop and pedros in the past.

That was the easiest show to not pay for. I still hate Santos though.

Do you really think the band asked for an admissions hike? I'm sure they had no idea. And bbq told me that the set times were being flipped all night and they were asked to hold off from playing right away. I had fun, but it did cost a fortune with beer and cabs.
