They were awesome, and they played Knocked Up!

I'm not entirely sure why this post was relevant when a band that draws 100,000 people, one thats been broken up for five years, has started strongly speculating of a tour next summer.

^^
What the hell are you talking about?
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 11:03 AM

Hehee, I noticed his hair receding at the show, too
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 11:06 AM
Sex on Fire was great too. first time that they played the song.

I'm pretty sure Josh is talking about Phish but he can't answer you because he's having a seizure next to a nitrous tank.

Dang, those went fast-- sold out in the first few seconds, though it seems like there were a couple presales as well.
Posted by A Roach | August 15, 2008 11:45 AM
I'm still waiting for my Jack Johnson write up.
GET ON IT YO
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 11:50 AM
Webster's sold out. Dang.
Posted by KOL Fan | August 15, 2008 11:51 AM
I can't get a ticket, did it really sell out in 2 seconds?
Posted by Birdo | August 15, 2008 11:52 AM
Fuck this band and their lame, uninspired rock-star posturing.
Do yourselves a favor and cop tickets to GLASVEGAS at Mercury Lounge. Shit went onsale today at noon.
Now that's a band worth talking about.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 11:56 AM
Didn't have a chance for those tickets!
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 11:57 AM
How the hell did that happen????
Posted by jamie | August 15, 2008 11:57 AM
i went on craigslist and of course a reseller had a heap to sell for $100 plus
thanks for the tip on glasvegas
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:01 PM
i feel like spamming that craigslister
Posted by ernesto | August 15, 2008 12:04 PM
I'm thinking the Webster show is gonna be a crappy, promo, industry release-type show, anyway, and that they'll be back for a proper show at a later date. I hope, at least.

i heart tickmaster!
Posted by your friendly neighborhood scalper | August 15, 2008 12:10 PM
I wish that instead of getting after the illegal downloaders of music, we lynch the scalpers.
In last few years, it has been nearly impossible to get tickets online for those of us who really want to attend shows.
The friendly neighborhood scalper should know that he/she truly sucks and is nothing more than a leech....
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:19 PM
God DAMN, those tix went fast. It was literally sold out in 30 seconds.
Posted by drugs delaney | August 15, 2008 12:24 PM
not even thirty seconds... is it bad that i am willing to pay 100 from a scalper? i know it just adds to the cycle, but this is the only band that i am willing to commit such a horrible act to see. i'm a pretty big dude, maybe bait him into meeting up, punch him in the cock and steal the tix?
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:27 PM
that singer used to be hot, wtf happened to him
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:33 PM
"She is gonna have my baby?" This is probably the band I hate the most these days.
Posted by Eduardo | August 15, 2008 12:40 PM
of course he's balding..."eighteeeeen, baaaaalding..."
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:43 PM
Eduardo, your taste in music sucks. Your posts prove this regularly. Have a great day, though!
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:44 PM
Much like Bloc Party's shows (and myriad others), I'm guessing scalpers will be selling all those extras the night of the gig, outside the venue. Please don't cave in and give them 3x face value now, be patient, and let them sweat. Fucking cock suckers.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:47 PM
...I can't believe those sold out so quickly, how is it even possible, seems like nobody but scalpers got those tickets, check ebay and see what those assholes are selling them for...I tried for 15 straight minutes and got nothing...

KOL was not good at all points, i dont understand why anyone would pay money to see them live
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 12:57 PM
seeing them was like seeing creed live
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 1:23 PM
worse than creed.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 1:35 PM
were those old folks on the side of the stage at apw their parents? they sure do draw the pale-skinned, natural hair color, no tattoo or piercing chicks from tennessee. home schooled christian rock, anyone?
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 1:36 PM
wow - the "cheap" $100 tickets on Stubhub disappeared immediately. Looks like I'm paying $120-130 if I want KOL tix :(
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 2:11 PM
Why would you trash Kings of Leon and big up Glasvegas? They are label mates, friends and Glasvegas just opened up for them in the UK. I hold both bands in high regard.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 2:14 PM
next time someone mentions creed in the same sentence as kings of leon I am going to punch jesus in the face.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 2:21 PM
^^^
Seriously, the comparisons to Creed, Nickelback, and whateverthefuckelse are ridiculous. Try listening to the music instead of just posting your inane drivel if you have nothing better to do. Better yet, go jerk off to your Dan Deacon or countless other horse shit, of-the-moment gargabe, which I'm sure, is way more hip and "indie."
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 2:27 PM
"seeing them was like seeing creed live"
Wow. You liked Creed? Hmm.
Posted by CN | August 15, 2008 2:28 PM
this band is such a shit fest.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 3:05 PM
they all look like they were cloned from the singer of the goo goo dolls
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 3:10 PM
are you talking about Buffalo's own Johnny Rzeznik?
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 3:21 PM
These guys are consistently my favorite band out there, and I can never understand where all the hate comes from. Can't wait for their new album...that song "Crawl" sounds unreal...sounds like they got a little Secret Machines sound in there, and I fucking love it. I couldn't make it to APW, but regardless of what you thought of their performance last weekend, seeing them at a 1400-capacity venue will certainly change your mind.
I was fortunate enough to get a ticket, but I have a feeling this isn't going to be your average show where tix are being unloaded the day of...I'd say grab one asap!
Posted by Drugs Delaney | August 15, 2008 3:23 PM
Caleb's sex is on fire.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 3:42 PM
creed is better than kol. they have memorable songs. kol is an ungodly amalgamation of rock n' roll cliches with no substance. BOOOOORRRRING!!! what a bunch of weirdos. i can't believe they're so popular. i couldn't figure out which was worse, underworld or kol.
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 4:02 PM
lotta angry folk reading BV these days
Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2008 6:48 PM
they were so damn bad, and all you can hear from the speakers was the music their twelve year old bass player was playing
Posted by Anonymous | August 16, 2008 1:02 AM
4:02..... are they popular, though? maybe over in the UK, but here? personally, i was kinda surprised they were playing this festival, let alone right before radiohead.
Posted by Anonymous | August 16, 2008 1:11 AM
that last comment was mine..... for the record, i like kings of leon.
Posted by Anonymous | August 16, 2008 1:12 AM
They were great. The crowd was weak...
Posted by Anonymous | August 17, 2008 12:31 AM
Where can I get tickets under 300 bucks? This is bull shit. What happens when they don't sell?
Posted by KOL girl | September 20, 2008 2:21 AM
Why can't I find a review of their show at Webster? It rocked.
Posted by Steph | September 30, 2008 12:23 PM
i can't believe how much they suck
