Mark Knight's Tropic Zone is playing Mercury Lounge

Now someone just needs to figure out who Mark Knight's Tropic Zone is. The show is September 7th and Mercury Lounge offers the possibly meaningless clue "(ex. The Sam Elkins)".

Hailing from the mountainous region of southwestern Guatemala, Mark Knight's Tropic Zone is poised to set the world on fire. Featuring 2 members of the tribal inspired latin-fusion band The Sam Elkins, MKTZ are set to embark on their 1st full US Tour. Its hard to pinpoint their sound which contributes to their majestic beauty. They have been described as anything from Botswanian Jungle Rock to Buck Cherry meets Eagle Eye Cherry. But until you witness one of their jaw dropping live performances...its tough to really speak about what this band is capable of. At their very 1st show, in Guatemala City on the rooftop of a Chilis restaurant, they played to nearly 2000 people including live badgers and rabbits running around throughout the crowd. Lord only knows what will happen once they land in New York City. Not to be missed....
