Neil Diamond kicks off MSG run tonight, Rooftop Films shows 'Song Sung Blue' Saturday (free)

I'm super excited to announce that ROOFTOP FILM's Summer Series will screen SONG SUNG BLUE on the lawn at South Point Park on Roosevelt Island SATURDAY, AUGUST 16th @ 9PM. THUNDER and her children, Rachel and Dana are all scheduled to be in attendance. The screening will be FREE and details can be found [here]...August 16th is also the last of four shows that the real Neil Diamond is playing at MSG in NYC this week. The first is tonight (Aug 12). Check Ticketmaster for tickets to those....SONG SUNG BLUE has screened only once in NYC back in February to a packed house at IFC Center. This NYC screening comes at a wonderful time given the many emails of inquiry I continue to get from New Yorkers that could not make the previous screening or have since learned of the film.
As an extra bonus ROOFTOP FILM's will have a NEIL DIAMOND karaoke hour before the film that should be "off the hook". All are encouraged to [sign up] for an opportunity to belt out their favorite ND tune and make a beautiful noise as the sun sets over the big apple. [filmmaker Greg Kohs]

Lots and lots of below-face tix for Neil on craigslist. Should be easy to snag one for $20 or so out front of MSG.

Anon 2:20, you mean that I paid 110 bucks for two crappy tickets at the box office, but I could get front seats for $20 at graiglist?
It is interesting how so many scalpers bought up so many nd tickets thinking they would make a profit, but ended up screwing themselves.Same thing happened in 2005.

I got in for $20 in 2005. The seats weren't great, but I got into Neil Diamond at MSG for only $20. Pretty sweet.

I'm going to MSG this Sat night. the last time I seen Neil was Oct 2001 at MSG right after 9/11. He was great and even though the security was tough no one complained. Can't wait for sat night!

Went to last night's show. He played Sweet Caroline three times in a row. Was kinda bizarre.
