Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2008 12:23 PM
^ EXACTLY
what used to seem so outlandish is now so predictable.
I'm so fucking tired of unicorns-w/ponytails, neon-kittens-eating glitter-ice-cream-cones-and-paintballs-exploding-in-romper room bands. What are we, toddlers from the 80's?
Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2008 12:29 PM
He's like a human claw machine! Where do I put my quarter in, because I'm totally going to win that Dino doll on his shin.
(Is that girl next to him doing pilates?)
Posted by Lt. Slothrop | August 25, 2008 12:31 PM

Sadly, that pilates person is a guy....
Posted by The Rajah of Rehab | August 25, 2008 1:04 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2008 1:17 PM
lol the people in the audience don't look amused at all. i think they'd all rather be at the sugar factory across the street.
Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2008 1:20 PM
That show was a blast. Went to see The Shakes and got my first glimpse of these guys. Fucking fun as hell!
Posted by Anonymous | August 25, 2008 1:33 PM

NNNNEEEEEIIIILLLLLL!
You played at our beach house.
Why do all these strangers hate you so much?
You sewed stuffed animals to some clothes and rocked out.
Are they jealous that they're not on David Byrne's record label or something????
I guess I would be too.
Posted by Caitlin | August 25, 2008 11:21 PM
there were a ton of self concious people not letting themselves enjoy some awesome songs at this show.
whether you are into the performance element or not, there is no need for anyone to move anywhere and die.
neil is all about love.

Though I still hold that the only decent music to ever come out of Purchase is Communication Corporation (Take that, Regina Spektor and Moby post-self titled album), Neil does in fact rule.
I'm not looking forward to the even worse student apathy and even shittier bands booked at Purchase this year.
Posted by Chris | August 26, 2008 12:26 AM
oh hell yeah neil!
Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 1:27 AM
"there were a ton of self concious people not letting themselves enjoy some awesome songs at this show."

It's really interesting to me how much hipsters seem to hate one another. Why does this, let alone anything fashion or music related, cause anyone to suggest death?
Posted by Anonymous | August 26, 2008 9:35 PM
This is pretty amaaazing
Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2008 8:05 AM
