Rival Schools playing 'a few choice autumnal shows'
by Black Bubblegum
The reunited Rival Schools

Rival Schools have reunited, this much we knew. But now, the band is announcing that they will work on a follow-up to United By Fate and plan to play "a few choice autumnal shows". The only announced US show so far is Lisk Fest in Irvine, CA (tickets here). This fest which will see Walter working double time because Gorilla Biscuits are also playing that show. To quote the band, "our stokeage level is high".
*cough*Quicksand*cough*

I assume the Quicksand cough is because if he was going to reunite one of his groups, it should be that one, right? Don't get me wrong, these two groups are cool (and way, way, way better than Walking Concert), but they're not Quicksand.

He should start a new band. Reunions get old after a while.

while it's my least favorite of Walter's bands, i still think that Walking Concert CD is fantastic!

Dear Walter,
We are obsessed with the amazing music you've created over the years. So how about a Quicksand and Rival Schools co-headlining tour, or at least one NYC show (preferable at Bowery Ballroom)? After that, a new record with a new band or at least new tunes from one of the above bands? Thanks!
Sincerely,
me (and the rest of your fans)

after i saw GB in detroit, walter played a career retrospective acoustic in the lobby. it was really good, i think he should just tour around doing that.
