I'd hit it.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 10:31 AM

Damn, Kyp looks like a pro wrestler..

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 10:33 AM

Kyp the Animal Steel.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 10:34 AM

With these openers, everyone loses. Maybe people who get the Dirtbombs win.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 10:52 AM

~!~ = WILL BERMAN OPENING

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 10:56 AM

10:52 -- dragons of zynth...?

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:01 AM

"10:52 -- dragons of zynth...?"

I'd rather have Telepathe

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:17 AM

>....people who get the Dirtbombs win.

Yes.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:23 AM

Same night as Antony... fuck that.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:30 AM

why are they playing with such horrible bands?

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:40 AM

dragons of zynth are seriously bad. good for them they are so good at ass kissing

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:43 AM

Dragons of Zynth may be the worst band out there. I would do everything in my power to avoid seeing them as an opener b/c they'd just put me in a bad mood.

Posted by BTW | August 19, 2008 11:45 AM

Oct 15 - w/ Telepathe (SOLD OUT) - that's something i didn't think i'd see next to telepathe.

Posted by GOPster | August 19, 2008 11:46 AM

i wish i had famous friends like dragons of zynth and miles anthony robison

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:52 AM

what do you know, the republican hipster enthusiast doesn't like Telepathe

I woulda thought with all your neato contrarianism that maybe you would have, just to be *different*

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:58 AM

^^^^
Maybe you would if you wrote good music and weren't such an entitled douche....

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:59 AM

I wish Miles was doing one of their NY shows.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 12:26 PM

Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson is playing tonight at Joe's Pub...

I think this is a far cooler opportunity. *nods*

Posted by jason | August 19, 2008 12:50 PM

i'll be at antony and the johnsons.

20 years from now, the Dirtbombs will be WAY more important than most of these pitchfork/brooklyn vegan bands of the moment. Sure, the band may be out of tune sometimes but Mick Collins voice is untouchable compared to his contemporaries. I can't think of another modern singer that has the musical knowledge that he uses in his song writing. TV on the Radio know this, their trendy fans might not ever understand.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 9:14 PM

Honestly, I don't know who is worst: DoZ, Telepathe, or TVOTR.

Dirtbombs, however, are awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 9:28 PM

snoozebombs

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:48 PM

dragons of zynth any day over the other two.

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2008 11:51 PM

all i know is, that photo is ten times better an album cover than the one they ended up going with,

Posted by edward23 | August 20, 2008 12:09 AM

will they even play?

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2008 1:19 PM

new song sucks

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2008 1:05 PM

10/16 show SOLD OUT

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2008 3:24 PM

Can't wait! Does Masonic Temple have a curfew?

Set times for Tues night?

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2008 4:19 PM

anyone know how strict masonic temple is on searching bags and do they have a full bar or just beer? these DoZ comments are seriously funny. glad I'm seeing night one.

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2008 6:13 PM

Dragons of Zynth and Telepathe are both more overhyped crappy local bands. Dirtbombs are awesome in comparison!

Posted by Anonymous | October 14, 2008 10:13 PM

Tues there were cursory bag checks and they sold Beer and Sangria.

Dirtbombs played 9-9:40
TVoTR played 10:30-11:45, one encore.

A great show! But be forewarned -- the venue is a sweltering inferno.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2008 12:15 AM

dragons not only suck but the brothers are stuck up back stabbing idiots. aku everyone knows yr a stupid wanna be ugly dumbass bitch. fucker

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2008 12:37 AM

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2008 10:57 AM

The venue is an inferno and the acoustics are atrocious.

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2008 10:59 AM

What time did they go on please? Was there a balcony? Thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2008 11:06 AM

Posted by Anonymous | October 15, 2008 11:11 AM
